Mt. Moosilauke 景色非常美...lower elevation will be muddy, then icy, then
wet snow on the top...
microspikes or some type of traction, Hiking pole, layered clothes, boots,
windproof jacket are must.
should be a great time to get a last winter 4k with great views!

发帖数: 10098 | 6 累死我了。 爬上高处才明白这活很难搞， 每次只能扒拉少量的雪， 我偏是个干活很
猛的速度， 不一会儿就耗完力气。
今天又扒拉， 又挖沟， 一次还勾住了一个拱形冰坝差点从梯子上掉下来。
我劳工也累坏了（大家应该感谢家中的男人啊， 男人不容易当）。
2人大半天才整完40%的屋顶， 明天可能干不动了，手臂疼， 腿也累。
希望明早的icy rain 不会再给我们家的屋顶造成过重的压力， 屋里不再滴水。
还left高房顶的一部分雪得请 handyman来弄了，这个钱不好赚滴， 很危险。 |

发帖数: 1255 | 11 今天不辞劳苦滑了一趟CASCADE MTN。跟的是WISCONCIN的一个GROUP。
沿路开到PORTAGE可以看到路旁有少许积雪。山不高，但比较宽，可滑面积还算可以。
LIFTS/RUNS大概开了80%。开通的雪道上雪况都还行，4：30结束前还都不ICY（也许是
因为CHRISTMAS滑的人不多的原因）。
但还是可以看到有些道明显是因为造雪不足而未开。黑道未开的较多。一条号称MOGUL
MONSTER的道上也没有雪包。
DAY TRIP半径范围内，CASCADE应该是最好的几个点之一了。可滑但还是欠雪。 |

The ski binding needs to be set loose for beginners. Talk to sales people
there about your needs, which may be skis that work in most conditions. I
just spent upwards of $400 on racing ski and poles. This type of skis can go
fast on packed snow and icy surface, but is not designed for powder
conditions where wide "fat" skis float better. |

very slow). A lot of "拣蛋" people have been there before 7:00am
(includes lots of children) and got many eggs. We only got some
candies and toys. But I decided to go there early next time. |

trees beside the mogul. It gets very icy after 9:30 since too many people
flying on this run with high speed. I lost control last Saturday on this run
with a really really high speed (the middle run was blocked with people and
I had to rush into the mogul edge) and crashed into one strong guy's back
and butt. Luckily enough both of us did not get hurt and this gave me a huge
reminder of safety.

今天在啃石头滑snowboard. River run有点icy,板子磕了一下,横了过来. 无意中变成
ski的姿势, 身体朝向和前进方向一致. 居然发现能够以这样的姿势高速直线下滑, 而
且感觉还挺轻松. 基本能保持比雪道上平均速度稍慢一点前进,大概有我switch速度的
80%左右. 身体完全不需要移动,两手既可以环抱胸前,也可以背在身后. 板下激起雪花
一偏，从river run顶部一直飘到山脚. 其实这和初学snowboard平推板子下山一样, 只
不过现在可以精确控制方向,并且速度相当可观. 以后可以研究一下. 有没有这样滑
snowboard的童鞋? |

We bought these tires in winter 2010 for our Honda Odyssey minivan (235/65R-
16) and used in two winter seasons (2010, 2011) on local travel (totally
about 2000 miles) only. They are still in excellent/like new condition.
These snow tires are very useful for winter driving in icy dates in Iowa and
we love them. Unfortunately, we have to sell them because we are leaving

crampons. My 4-teeth ones may not be enough given the likely icy condition.
Snow/ice in the bowl was hardly affected by the rain as the snow level was
about 8500ft. Before ski hut we should be able to follow the trail. So,
avy danger is not higher than it usually is.
The snow level will drop to 6800 by tomorrow according to NOAA, and droping.
Snow accumulation may top 100 inches (at 9000 ft) before the sky clears

, though they recommend to carrry chain with you. Trail are very icy, so
crampon is needed.
