1.任何quantitative field的phd都可以申请，化学，物理，生物，工程，商学院都可
以。只有master的话，要1-2年experience。
2.俺refer成功会有bonus，这个bonus不是给被refered，如果觉得unfair，请不要继续
读下去了。
3.俺们这通常是有standard的recruit process，但是这次俺们team的director和
manager会亲自上阵interview，很快。

临近寒假，上海的高校催得很紧。很犹豫。
论待遇，肯定是industry好。但是研发这种事做不到头。
但是副教授爬教授，申青千之类的也很痛苦
因为是独生子女，所以我的长远规划是回国创业捞钱。
不知道做教授会不会帮助大一点

发帖数: 793 | 9 我情况跟你差不多，不过是2000来美，也在一个排名5，60的经济系读phd.正确的选择
是，不要念phd,1年半或2年后拿到硕士走人，越快越好。同届的有phd读完的，一般要5
年，也有7年才拿下的，但没有任何人能在美国拿到faculty offer,基本上如果不是top
10 program和几片像样的paper,tenure track肯定没戏,何苦去teaching school,钱少
还不能做研究。如果总归要去industry，你现在要做的事是花时间搞sas，别的都不用
看。进入industry,phd和master的工资在3-5年后没任何区别，只跟工作经验背景和领
域相关。
总之是那句话，不要贪图那个phd tittle的虚荣，不会跟你带来任何收益。早赚钱早办
绿卡。如果真想走学术，你得转学到top program. |

是applied econometrics方向的东西。
在linkedlin, indeed上面看了两个月了，很多工作是偏统计的，都只要求BA学位加3-5
年经验，做的工作也只是些data的工作，这类工作我感觉过去了就是数据工，如果从了
很浪费自己在graduate school学到的这些东西。不过估计人家也不想要我呢，公司就
想要个有工作经验的统计本科/master。
想请问一下版上大牛们，with Economics PhD，在industry都能做些什么工作呢？怎么
定位自己才好呢？Entry level的可能over qualified了，senior的又要工作经验，好
不尴尬。 |

production now.Company already made money by selling a-Si solar pannels.
It has more advantage comparing pure c-Si.
GE and BP are not big players at all in solar cell industry.
United Solar is the best industry in a-Si solar cells.
First solar is also very good at CdSe/CdTe solar cells.
AMT only works on tandem cells.And they do not have good R&D group.

我说的那个人是git出来的，的确是名师名校。
cmos industry还能做今年，但是感觉越往后咱们这种device engineer或者process
engineer就越来越不重要
了。你从现在的趋势也能看出来，大家都要搞多核，横向扩展，当然有很多原因，一个
重要因素就是size往下
shrink不动了，从65nm到45nm还不难，但是到32nm就很难了，到22nm或者更小就非常难
了，而且这个东西
是有极限的。我感觉push到10几纳米就了不起了，以后的就是看怎么做connection，发
挥多核的优势。到那时候
就靠ic design, circuit level的了。真正还需要多少device/process engineering都
很难说。在si industry扎根越
深，越难往外跳啊。
不过这都我猜测，谁知道今后10年会是怎么样。
如果想读ph.d，还是安心继续吧。如果你都3，4年纪了，再换方向太不值了。

她是1 year fellowship，很喜欢，目前是做benicar的公司的fellowship。
大概传达一下这个program的内容：
1，PharmD毕业才能进program，在midyear上做三轮interview，要交PS，三封推荐信。
2，不给办visa,所以要绿卡或者公民。
3，1-2年program，我问了区别在哪里，MM说都差不多，做2年的通常是做完1年还不明
确自己的目标的。哈哈
4，PAY， 比一般医院residency拿的稍为多一些，4-5万之间，我们一个P2学长说他知
道有一家制药公司给到6万多的。fellowship之后拿到Full time job，平均在10-11万
一年。
5,出差机会多，还有机会去欧洲和中国，关键看你的host company了。
6，就业机会满大，好像95%以上，因为network比较强吧。
7，机会多，可以去制药公司，也可以去FDA等等。（去FDA一定满爽哈！）

Mortgage Banking小班课程开设9期以来，学生总数大约45名。逾半数学生进入银行业
，另大部分同学也迅速找到相关工作。
本课程旨在帮助经验不足但热衷于银行业，并且愿意以勤奋积极的态度去学习掌握银行
