有消息，就都给忘了。
今天突然收到法院来信，说可以forfeit bond， "and that will be the end of the
matter"或者可以"contest the citation and schedule this matter for trial".
ticket是79 in a 65 zone, 被搞成了misdemanor C.这个是要记录在案的吧？可以亲自
到utah去一趟也不太现实. 可以打电话和什么人商量商量搞成civial infraction吗？
钱就无所谓了，不到100块。 这是唯一的一个ticket，想来点数，保险都问题不大吧？
另外，这个speeding ticket没有什么追述期限吗？都两年了，他们又来了 :-( |

发帖数: 546 | 12 上周五下班后5点多在101高速朝SF方向，因为下班高峰，所以路上车流走走停停，后来
走到Redwood附近车流速度加快，大约60mph的速度。我在内侧第二条车道上，也就是
car pool lane旁边，突然发现前车刹车灯大亮，几乎完全停下，我赶紧急踩刹车，但
是明显感觉车辆要撞上前车。于是向左打了方向盘快速切到car pool lane上，结果左
后侧撞上了car pool lane上一辆mini van的taxi，然后又失控撞到了高速中间的隔离
带上。所幸自己身体没有受到任何冲击损伤，然后从车上下来，看到taxi上的司机已经
在打电话联系警察保险等了。然后taxi上的passenger有一个母亲和孩子，母亲高速我
说她们没有事情，但是司机说他有点感到不舒服。后来救护车来了就把司机送到医院检
查了。不过当时的情景司机没有流血，还能正常思考交谈电话，应该没有生命危险。警
察当场给我开了一张collision report information。
我的保险公司是farmers，因为是老车，所以只有半保，保额是$100,000/each person

如果是misdemeanor,还是请吧。但是一般cop的charge会比你的实际行为轻。
也就是说，你犯了misdemeanor的错，他charge你的只是civil infraction，如果是后
者，罚点钱就无所谓了。traffic voilation的记录会有，no big deal。
话说回来，一大老爷们，record上没几张ticket，太不正常了。。。 |

through my lawyer, got the charge reduced from class b misdemeanor to civil
infraction.
but fined 560 dollars plus 60 for one day traffic school. With 400 lawyer
fee, the total is over 1000 dollars for speeding. |

赔。他车上的坏灯和漆是非常充足的证据。不要理楼里面的某白痴，他这个绝对是证据

作签证，车子的registration和insurance都是在我自己名下。
事情经过：7月底去LA玩的时候直接cross了carpool lane的双黄线被抓，然后警察给我
开了个包含两个violation的ticket。一项是 drive without license （标记为
misdemeanor），另一项是cross DBL LINE INTO CARPOOL LANE （标记为infraction）
。我当时和警察说DMV的网站上写的外国人可以拿本国的驾照开车 http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm#international 警察不听非让我签，然后说那个ticket不是最后的结果，先签了再说，不签可以拘留我。后来觉得要是被拘留了还影响工作，就签字了。
结果：现在在网上 （ https://www.lasuperiorcourt.org ）可以查到要交的钱，但是
也没有说我到底是不是开了两个combined的violation。现在提供了三个选项让我选：

他给我写的就是 ”80+“ （限速70mph），他当时问我觉得开到多少，我说不知道，可
能是79吧， 我说当时是想超过那辆大货车所以快了一点（而且当时是在一个很平坦的
路上突然有一小段下坡，比较容易快起来），他说我开到92mph了，他后来罚单上给我
写了80+。他是先跟我一段距离，然后才亮灯让我pull over的，我经过他时候就意识到
了，然后马上把速度降下来，所以pull over时候我的速度还可以。
有没有比较好的律师可以帮着辩护过去，多交点钱也可以，主要不想留记录 |

court. in WA, if its a minor accident and driving without insurance, then
your girlfriend will get cited for a civil infraction. the ticket will be
around 700 dollars. (550 for no insurance + moving violation). if she got
cited for negligent driving in the 2nd degree, then the fine will be
slightly higher.
in either case, she should not have to post bail and be required to go to
court.

，警察在那蹲点抓人，看的很清楚，刚转过去就跟过来了。
开了ticket，不知道是写完单子求情的时候安慰人，还是手下留情，还是常规处理，警
察跟我说，大意开的不是500刀的fine，也不需要上traffic school什么的，第一次拿
ticket对信息没概念也没记清楚，问他多少钱说大概170-180，回来看单子，
Correctable Violation写的no，Misdemeanor or Infraction圈的是I，Code and
Section那里看不清，写的大概是MVCO 19.33 traffic Device，完全查不到。
不知道收到信是不是就清楚了，现在蛮想弄明白警察说的但我没听明白的这不同的罚单
是什么意思。

发帖数: 21396 | 39 你这种情况应该没有问题。看看Ticket上有没有Correctable的选项，有的话，直接去
DMV交2，30块罚款就行了，庭都不用上。如果没有的话，看看给你的罚单是Infraction
还是Misdemeanor. 前者算交通违规，和超速类似，认罚交钱破财消灾就可以；后者如
果被判定罪，算是轻罪，有犯罪记录，要重视。
出庭一般有两次，一次是court arraignment，主要就是问你认不认罪之类的，你这种
情况，带着驾照去，一般会给直接Dismiss掉。如果不能Dismiss，就不要认罪，然后下
一次出庭，正式等审判。如果是Misdemeanor Charge，不要掉以轻心，要不自己认真准
备；要不出几百块请律师，律师代你出庭，你不用去，该干啥干啥。Bottom Line是不
能给convict有罪，否则将来找工作，回国返签啥的都有麻烦，但不会影响绿卡。 |

然后那天出去办事，在一个大十字路口，红灯，赶上着急要右转没等车停死就慢速转过
来了，结果看两个警察笑呵呵的在前面招呼我。。。
泥马，我琢磨行啊，认了！stop sign没停死应该罚的不多吧。结果人家说本来可以罚
我闯红灯，那样我会死的很难看，看在我是外州驾照，而且确实右转的时候减速了而且
很慢，就给我一个non-traffic civil infraction ticket，说不是啥大事，不上
record，不影响insurance，交点钱就行。我问得交多少?这大哥说他也不知道，估计一
两百。好吧，不是太离谱，认罚了。
结果尼玛昨天收到正式罚单，$458！不是超速一般也就200多吗？我一个可以右转的信
号灯，只是没停死至于罚我400多吗？
这版上大牛多，不知道有没有人有类似经历的？我本人已经不在加州了，特意跑回去不
现实。我知道很多traffic ticket可以找律师远程fight ticket减点？这个有没有可能
也找律师帮我处理最后少交些钱？

俺们MI的规定是：every motorist to use low beams (not high beams) within 500
feet of oncoming traffic per MCL 257.700 . Violation code 2740 covers
Failure to Dim, Driving with Glaring Lights (which also means misaimed
lights) and various other headlamp-related infractions. 2 points and fines
and fees totalling up to $130.
