依旧是五点多就醒了。今天的活动是去Lao Valley和Lahaina。
Lao Valley, 像她的名字一样充满了亚洲气息。虽然远比不上黄山的俊美多变，倒也称
得上是山清水秀。山脚下小小的亚洲文化园让离家三年的我顿感亲切。站在“天下为公
”牌坊下照张相，走一走竹林里的小径，哪怕远远地看见日本鬼子小屋都会恍惚间如游
故土。在美国不甘做个边缘人，成天绞尽脑汁让自己接受并融入这里所谓的文化，却总
是弄巧成拙，东施效颦，究其原因是根本不喜欢或是不屑这所谓的美国文明。如今单单
是眼前这几许单薄的亚洲建筑园林竟令我这般自如悠哉，看来文化归属感的作用力确是
强大。我伟大可爱的华夏文明啊！
Lao Valley的山不高，很容易就爬上去了。所谓的Lao Needle也不过是一块粗大笨重的
凸起，和黄山上处处鬼斧神工的形象石趣根本不是一个数量级。但愿经过岁月的消磨，
有朝一日能铁杵磨成针。上山途中有几个小trail是通往小溪边的，坐到水中的大石头
上吹吹凉爽舒服的山风，十分惬意。

may blame Noah Webster)。把一些合理的英国英语的发音、拼写和语法，故意改了。
对我们来说，也就是创造了新的特例(exceptions).
发音：
这次London 奥运opening ceremony上, NBC的主持人在Laos队入场时说，我们美国说
Lao, 但是Laos人说Laos. 比如美国人发Illinois是发Illinoi音。
LZ举的water例子，说water 发wader。类似的例子还有forty发fordy；thirty 发
thirdy。其实这是“送气音”和“不送气音”的区别。不能将"t"发成声带振动的"d"的。

三种非常相似的汉语拼音写法，
Laosan Wang
Lao-san Wang或Lao-San Wang
Lao San Wang
这三种写法都被经常用在文章的署名上。
第一种通常是护照上的写法，所以也用在驾照和其它证件上。应该是法定的标准。
第二种多加了一个连字符，将两字联在一起。这是台湾人拼写姓名的习惯。为什么大陆
人会莫名
其妙的沿用？这种写法导致姓名的缩写也发生变化，从L. W.变成L-S. W.
第三种写法更无厘头，平白无故多了一个middle name出来，完全不符合中国人的姓名
