深有同感啊
我也是文科转的cs，其实还只是转的跟cs交叉的学科。
以前学linguistics的。语言学，知道吧，就是：生物化学跟这个相比，那都不算坑。
phd最少6年毕业，10年的大有人在。毕业然后连postdoc都没得做，毕业直接实业。一
个教职抢破头。而且吧，最tmd操蛋的是，东岸毕业的学生去西岸找不到工作，因为两
岸的语言学思想完全对立，西岸的也一样。
然后，就转了计算方向。然后，就找到工作了，生活小滋润了，跳出火坑了。
我这个人很容易满足，不用跟其他人比，就跟自己以前的专业比，就满足了。

linguistics的要求很高，不是短期做得出来的，也不是英文搜索做得好，就可以套在
中文上。
为什麽百度的中文搜索比较好，用在广告上”匹配就非常烂”，我不是很明白。我觉得
可能谷歌中国市场的收入可能leverage美国或是全球性的客户。就是有些跨国公司，如
果已经在别国用谷歌，如果中文版不是太差，还是会继续用。
如果谷歌市场占三成，百度七成或更少，收入是一半，不是也差不多吗？中国还有别的
搜索引擎吗？ms呢？ |

I didn't use quotation mark, and the Chinese term 十大杰出人物 I used is an
interpretation of the Copernican Citation instead of a direct translation.
To your credit, your original post correctly cited the original official
release using quotation mark, but there is a slight problem with the
translation of the word "scientist": it is better translated as 科学gong1-

，长得很白。一看门牌，叫Izuru Kato。
我知道Kato是“加藤”。多好听的名字，虽然我还不知道Izuru是什么意思，汉字
怎样写。
女孩很漂亮。大大的眼睛，红红的腮，浅浅的酒窝。还有长长的黑发，在当时温哥
华的东方女孩子里尤其少见。
时值夏令，偶尔的阳光从侧面投过，浅色的夏衣显得很薄很薄——薄得我经过的时

非母语的人，其实在词义理解，和语音上面，是完全可以超越母语的人的。
这点，其实大多数中国人都认识错误。
这种情况，在世界上其他国家（特别是欧洲国家），很多，而且非常普遍。
语音和词汇掌握，都只是跟文化程度，和不断练习纠正有关的。与是不是母语关系不大
。
而syntactic parsing(一些特殊句子断法）和prosody（一些内在语言韵律）才是深入
骨髓的。
再满腹经纶，再口若悬河的ｎｏｎｎａｔｉｖｅ也跟文盲加结巴的ｎａｔｉｖｅ有本质
区别。
传说这里面还有故事。以前美国往俄国派的间谍，俄语暴牛。
是那种，连续疲劳审问Ｎ天，也能对答如流，毫无口音外露，也无语法词汇句法文化理
解破绽的人。
最后俄国人，就是靠syntactic parsing这个技巧，一下子把间谍整崩溃了。。。。 |

但是linguists想要测，就可以在日常对话里加一些garden path sentence（例句你可
以自己搜）
nonnative就会revise得比native 慢很多，或者根本不能revise
