program takes a couple of residents a year. and 50% of the program requires
finishing IM PGY1 or transitional PGY1 prior to entering the nuclear

问题：1，family medicine现在是不是也很难进去了？
2，residency期间会不会像internal medicine一样恐怖？
我不是很在乎出来后赚钱多少，只是不舍得放弃自己的career，现在心里很矛盾
，不知道值不值得这么拼命，同时还要让家人孩子一起陪受罪。 |

是想象中的那么好去的。好的family med的program，清一色一水的很强背景的amg。
好的pcp其实赚的不少，就不收保险的那种，很赚。所以还是看个人兴趣和本事。 |

family medicine有太多吸引人的地方了，享受和患者长期以来的信任关系，一家子都
是你的病人。当然开业经营好了也可以赚大钱
只不过这个科室太适合乡村地区（儿科、产科在城市地区用到的不多），如果将来想在
大城市执业，primary care internal medicine也是一个好选择 |

安琪，Angela，一个四岁的可爱的中国小女孩，上个星期在西雅图被诊断为脑干肿瘤（
Brainstem Glioma），医生预计只有半年至两年的生存机会（平均是7个月）。
她的父母是在10月13号最早发现这个可怕的事实，当时注意到小安琪有点走路不稳，容
易摔跤。第二天带去看医生，立刻就被送去西雅图儿童医院的急诊室，马上做了CT和
MRI，结论是Brainstem Glioma。这对小安琪的父母来说犹如晴天霹雳。
他们又咨询了孟菲斯的Saint Jude儿童研究医院，也得出相同的结论。因为肿瘤的位置
是在脑和脊椎的结合部，所以手术的可能性微乎其微，唯一的选择似乎只有放射疗法。

would be restored as soon as possible. Both webbie and jonzhang have been
