若是加鸡蛋，鸡蛋先拿出来在室温下呆会
若是加butter，或者用microwave（我个人不喜欢microwave） 或者用stove
把butter放在平底锅里，开小火，用筷子压住butter在锅底打转
等到全化掉就好了，拿出来稍微放凉，再加进去。 |

个月了, 但是一直没有收到房东关于押
金的说法. 今天打电话问了, 说我们损坏了microwave和stove, 他们要replace, 没有
听清具体花了多少钱, 说会给我一份
copy让我看看. 听着意思像是搞不好还要我多交钱.
说说这个microwave吧, 由于老美的习惯是放在stove的正上方, 顺便当抽风机用, 但是
不可避免的就是溅了很多油在上面,
我也作好噢这个准备去pay这个了, stove我觉得还ok, 表面的油我都擦了比较干净了,
绝对达不到说要replace的地步, 我很
诧异他们说要全部换掉, 还要再进一步什么furnicher, 估计都要我出钱? 说我们临走
的时候应该是刚来的时候一样才行, 那怎
么可能呢?

我们想装一个但是不知道是买combination(就是上面是microwave下面是oven的那种）
，还是double oven. 好像double oven是主流
但是如果rangehood 装抽油烟机的话microwave就没地方放了

。柜子还没定。但是问了一般上面的柜子12"深，HD可以加到13".但一般的mw是16"深。
定制可以，GE 的27x12x12,也不是很贵。可是这样的mw能干啥啊，估计盘子大点儿就不
行了。
问题：上面柜子最大多深不会难看并且不会violate any code?

说实话，很少看到将 blinds 也拿走的。这不是在瞎胡闹嘛。拿走 blinds 纯粹是损
人不利己的行为至于 range，你拿着也没有用，要拿去就拿去好了。microwave，$60
的就够了，我还不习惯用 $500 一个的，dish washer 是个摆设，唯有冰箱必须。
如果是我，我就要求 blinds 留下，别的，让他拿走得了 |

cooktop, built-in oven+microwave要加2750，不过这个是黑色的whirlpool gold。这
个再换成stainless要1330，不过sales说她去问问如果直接从黑色的free standing加
到stainless的builtin多少钱。她还说其实有的人不喜欢stainless，因为很容易留指
纹啥的弄不干净。但是好像现在冰箱的deal都是stainless的啊，然后zephyr的抽油烟
机也基本是stainless的。 |

发帖数: 1399 | 27 周末刚装； 动用了螺丝刀，电钻，铁皮剪刀，metal duct tape; 拆下原有的
microwave 惊喜地发现墙内有 10 x 3 的 duct 到室外...不过口子高了三寸。于是割
墙，割铁管，钻孔。。。。终于装好啦！
duct太长，下一步考虑在管子中段插入一个 inline blower接力抽气。已经爬到地下的 crawl space实地考察过, 貌似可行。
安装tips：for zephyr，想也不用想原配的安装螺丝。直接另买螺栓螺帽，和很大的垫圈。橱子木板上钻个大孔，穿螺栓到机器里。之后用 duct tape 密封机器的长形螺丝孔。

specific, the knobs' axis is not perfectly aligned with the holes on the
front panel. I think it's ridiculous considering KitchenAid is not a low-end
brand.

my wife insisted on getting a simple two-door bottom freezer fridge, so we
didn't have many choices. i suspect mine could be a re-brand of some Amana

其实厨房还没有 finish。这一块，头续多，工作琐碎，花得心思多，反而还有不少 美
中不足的心病等着 fix。版上有姐妹想看，就也秀出来了。顺便听听建议。
before －
原来的厨房，一看就是二三十年前的装修。几个 keywords：白色小磁砖，厚重的陶瓷
sink，陈旧的橱柜，老式的顶灯。。。都是必须要重做的。
而且，抽油烟机装在island 正中，老式厨房的顶本来就矮，只有7尺半，弄这么个庞然
大物，把什么都block了，一眼看着就难受。
地上铺的磁砖，我也不喜欢。 厨房 跟 family room 是整体打通连贯的，我喜欢从地
面感觉上也是连贯通畅的，况且我一直以来习惯了厨房用地板，温馨一点。只要勤打扫
就好了。
构想 －
首先决定改变结构，想把 range hood 挪到厨房侧面，这样管道也要改一下，跟
contractor 沟通了一下， 看看了房檐和外墙，他说没问题。
这样 Island 就变得更加 visible 了 ，灶台移走了，island 从面积上讲也会更实用
。想做成两头有弧线的。希望从 family room 看过去是漂亮的柜子，而不是侧面的... 阅读全帖 |

备自己买抽油烟机，builder答应给安装。订了板上说的神奇二代，好像到处都缺货，
没有时间等了，builder这个月底要完成安装。有没有其他的可以代替这个神奇二代呢
还想买一套包括灶台，洗碗机和冰箱。价钱$2000左右，不想超出太多

microwave拆了，想自己装个给力一点的range hood，发现墙上这个wall mount拆不下
来，上面有10个很粗很长的钉子把mount钉在墙上了。很费劲儿的用pry bar拔了两个相
对容易拔的，剩下八个都钉的很紧，pry bar卡不上去，怎摸办哪？？？？ |

Microwave oven is bad, one should stay away by least 2 meters when it's
operating. For one of the Microwave ovens I tested, the alarm would be
triggered (>0.3mG?) even when I am 5 meters away. It depends on the maker
and style.
Hair blower and electronic toothbrush also emits EMF because they have motor
in them.
EMF from high voltage power lines fads away quickly, the reading is bad when
you are directly under it, but it is generally ok when you are 200m away.

这个表有4种测量：MAGNETIC(0~100 range), MAGNETIC(0~3 range), ELECTRIC,
RADIO/Microwave. 我们的房子前三种测量都完全没有问题。 就是最后一个RADIO/
Microwave，表上的最小刻度是0.01 mW/cm^2, 最高量程是 1 ～ 2 mW/cm^2, 我们房子
的绝大多数地方读数是0，但有几个点是大概0.02 ， 还有两个点是0.05 ～ 0.1， 我
觉得这已是很安全的了，但是GF坚持要房子的每一个点测量结果是完全是0，即指针完
全一丝不动她才能接受，坚持这房子不能再住了 。。。 |
