The actual harm done by quotas is far greater than having a few incompetent
people here and there — and the harm that will actually be done will be
harm primarily to the black population. What all the arguments and
campaigns for quotas are really saying, loud and clear, is that black people
just don’t have it, and that they will have to be given something in order

Greek Myths and the Euro Tragedy
Letting someone lose money on sovereign debt is the acid test for the euro.
By JOHN H. COCHRANE
Last week the Greek bailout ballooned into a gargantuan 750 billion euro (
nearly $1 trillion) debt stabilization fund, including a $39 billion line of
credit from the International Monetary Fund. This coincided with the
European Central Bank (ECB) announcement that it would immediately begin
purchasing junk-rated Greek debt.
It won't work. The problem isn't liquidity,

Here are a few big myths:
It takes more fuel to start a vehicle than it does to let it idle.
People are really confused about this one and will leave a car idling for
half an hour rather than turn it off and restart. Some kids I know started
an anti-idling campaign in the suburbs and are shaming parents into shutting
down their cars.
Idling uses a quarter- to a half-gallon of fuel in an hour (costing you one
to two cents a minute). Unless you're stalled in traffic, turn off the car

pick up tennis了。

Here are 10 of the most common myths about dogs and cats.
Dogs
Dogs age 7 years for every human year. Contrary to popular belief, there is
no exact formula to gauge how much a dog ages – it's as individual for dogs
as it is for people. But a rough guide is thus: The first year of a dog's
life is equivalent to 16 human years. After 2 years, they are the equivalent
of a 24-year-old. At 3 years, they are the equivalent of a 30-year-old.
Each year after, add 5 human years to determine your dog's age
