meditation, but there is no real depth in that. Some people are just looking
for a difference, a change. They grab at anything — Tibetan, Zen, Yoga,
Southern Buddhism, etc.
People like to be deceived. It is hard to make them let go of a false idea
they are clinging to. They get really upset when you say something that
threatens their pet ideas (dreams, fantasies, etc.).

说实话，我胆小，没敢看视频，但大概了解一些，很多人都说中国人越来越冷漠，在我
看来，并不能这样去做结论，从冷漠一点的专业角度上说，这是很典型的"Genovese
Syndrome"，这个名词来源于1964年的the myth of Kitty,这位美国女人 Kitty
Genovese在自己家附近被抢劫、强奸和谋杀，谋杀当时她尖叫，被她的邻居听到，当时
有38个目击者，却没有一个人给警察打电话，最后她死在去医院的途中。从此也有了一
个症状叫"Genovese Syndrome" 也叫the bystander effect
后来这个事件就引发了心理学界的旁观者研究，发现这个现象是非常普遍的，只是程度
的差别，后来研究延伸到也为大众做了很多做一个旁观者的指导研究，如何让这样的惨
剧不再发生，我想这个事件也应该提醒我们这些同行们一起努力来改善这个社会，如果

由<生命季刊>主办的中国福音大会……..据说这次大会报名人数包括小孩有接近4000人
，相当惊人的一个数字………
三、北美华人教会
以下大部分是大会里听来的，有些是我自己的观点，就不专门引用原作者了，大家不要

北美华人教会在美也有200年历史了，过去50年经历过两次大的增长浪潮，一次是70年
代台湾学人来美后大批信主，这些人很多都成为教会里的中坚，另一次是90年代大陆来
美的学人。2000年之后，台湾来美的人数减少，大陆来美的人数虽然越来越多，但是福
音相当难传，信主的比例越来越少。我后面会谈一下我理解的原因。
现在华人教会的组成是，大部分的人是30多40多带孩子的家庭，平均年龄40岁，如果没

科学从来没有要求理论实践完美无缺才能支持。对于一个现象是否值得研究
只有一个标准：是否可以验证。
比如说当年五石同学举过一个例子。放射性发现之前，有人发现一块石头，
有“邪气”，人接触了会生病。中医的解决方法是看见两个家里用过这块石头
的人都死了，因此认定这块石头有邪气。现代科学却不是这样认定的。首先
要认定这个让人生病是否真实可信。这件事情不需要放射性的理论同样可以
验证。考虑保存这块石头的50户人家，和没接触过这块石头的年龄，性别，
经济状况等都相似的50户人家，如果接触的50户人家在20年当中死了18个
人，而没接触过的死了6个。这足以说明二者有显著差异。这说明这块石头确
实有致命的能力。至于原因，不论是邪气还是瘴气，就是个名词而已。但是
这个现象就得到了证明。这块石头最好埋地下。虽然今天知道额外浇点狗
血，撒点马尿并无作用。但是“邪气”是真实存在的。
一个现象是否真实存在是需要验证的，特别是对于这样一个现象的解释，更
加需要从多方面多手段来进行检查。有中医粉认为这东西看不见摸不到，因

比如说，Matrix（特指第一部），就深刻揭露了资本主义制度对人类的控制机制。而这
部电影又是改编自Jean Baudrillard的那本很薄的书simulacra and simulation，电影
里也出现过这本书，好像是先知手里拿着。Baudrillard自己也是深受马克思主义影响。
但是对华尔街的深入批判所产生的明显效果，还是集中出现在08年次贷危机之后。毕竟
，事实最能教育人民。应该说，在08年之前，好莱坞就已经拍出了一些讽刺华尔街的优
秀作品，例如著名戏剧演员金凯利（Jim Carrey）主演的喜剧《Fun with Dick and
Jane》（2005），讽刺了WorldCom，安然。
到了08年之后，好莱坞的电影批判的深度加强了，例如卡麦隆的3D巨片，阿凡达，揭露
资本主义利润机器对环境的无休止的破坏。动画片UP影映射房地产商的贪婪导致老百姓
居无定所，用气球下的房子表达人民对自由居住权的向往。而动画片Wall·E则暗合了

看到前面一帖子，5岁孩子好奇人类的起源，妈妈说不清楚，然后有些回帖质疑进化论。
忍不住另外开一贴说几句，
对生物起源等问题保持open的态度和好奇心是好事，对孩子也确实不必要一味地灌输知
识和结论，而是应该启发他们思考。
以上都是科学的态度, 科学和宗教的根本区别就是，科学是不claim绝对真理的，科学
是不断前进发展的，人类的知识在科学证实的过程中日益壮大，科学在证伪的过程中比
以往任何时候都更接近真相，推陈出新。
持科学的态度去看待细节还没有被完全复现和解释的问题，比如生物起源，并不表示可
以无根据地虚无地对被广泛证实的进化论本身持怀疑态度。

一方面这些人受到学院左派思想影响
一方面他们服务于大资本家，所以本质上还是右派
涉及美国国家利益或者涉及世界问题报道
这些人右派面目就显示出来。
真左左派一直代表被边缘化阶层，
