o******r 发帖数: 9 | 4 This is a single point steam heating system.
That object is an air release val.
If it's noisy, you will need to replace it ( or boil it in hot water to
clean it up and then put it back ). You can easily buy one at HomeDepot.
You should read some manuals about how to maintain a single pipe steam
heating system. |

My newly bought home also has some kind of tub installed. looks like an air
tub too based on your description, since it is has a lot of holes...I will
go back and check...
but air tub probably will be more noisy than jacuzzi due the air compressor
(I assume they have one?)...
I still think it can be used to dry people after shower or bath. //haha |

h*******d 发帖数: 108 | 6 It is very normal. We did the same. Don't need to feel regretful. We
withdrew an offer after we felt the house is too noisy (on a corner lot).
The house were put on market soon and sold in less than two months. Now we
found another house that fits all our needs. BTW, your deposit should be
fully returned since you haven't signed your contract. My agent told me you
can ask full refund even if you are in escow and is less than 17 days.

h******2 发帖数: 102 | 7 100 PSI maximum is not enough for hard hardwood like cherry. The compressor
will have to be on all the time (very noisy). In addition, you may need 100+
PSI to drive through nails to the right depths.
If you want to save money by DIY and want to save again by buying cheap
tools, you will regret later. That is my lesson I have learned.
DIY requires quality tools. |

remove loan contingency. closing day 推迟了10天。

2.you sure you will even get sunshine on 1st floor?
3.when you resale, 1st is always harder to sell.

construction, I don't think 2nd fl residents will ev...

more noise. Like airplanes. You cannot make a quite airplane engine. For
your protection, always wear googles ($1.99/two pairs) and ear muffs ($2.99,
at Harbor Freight Tools). Noise will not be an issue. |

j***k 发帖数: 2719 | 40 a friend of mine has Wolf, and it is very nice and powerful. The downside is
that it is expensive (over >$2K) and noisy.
If you don;t particular care of brand name or brand matching (if you also
have WOLF cooktop or overn), I would suggest you to get Kobe.
I have Kobe at home, it is equally powerful as the Wolf, but a lot quieter.
The price is also around $800 - $1K, much cheaper than the Wolf. Wolf is
made in the USA, while Kobe is made in Japan. |
