测了一下力量大小水平,结果介于untrained 和novice 之间.
妈的, 看来过去几年花在gym membership上的钱都白费了.
一点都不严谨， 不科学.
决定从此讲科学严格训练， 看能不能达到或 10 lbs to intermediate level.
that's bench 1RM = 170, deep squat 1RM = 230 ah... or my body weight also
need to reduced.
free weight bench press 需要杠铃接触一下胸脯吧？
如果是这样的话,
8RM is only 110-115 lbs, and 3RM is only 125-130. 1RM is only about 130-135.
做free weight deep squat的架子还挺她妈 popular, 有两个家伙一直在用。 不过在

发帖数: 419 | 9 比赛级别其实很多时候都是组委会自定的,NEWCOMER/PRE-BRONZE 不是每个比赛都有,但基
本上就代表最初级,通常不会出现这两个级别同设的情况,除非组委会想赚钱想疯了.
NOVICE 就有点复杂.基本的意思是不限制舞步, 但是在不同的比赛会是完全不同的水准.
有些比赛里NOVICE 代表初级, 有些比赛里NOVICE基本代表PRE PRE-CHAMP, 也就是说介于
GOLD和PRECHAMP之间,但是用NOVICE取代PRECHAMP的情况不多. 到底一个比赛NOVICE是什
么水平,我通常用两个办法判断,一是根据比赛大小数数总共几个级别的比赛,算算NOVICE
排第几, 二是看看去年的比赛结果NOVICE和PRECHAMP有那些人参加. AMATEUR的圈子太小
了,基本上PRECHAMP/CHAMP的人都是那么些名字.
在目前USABDA的规则里,NOVICE是任何SYLLABUS选手都可以报名的,但大赛中又基本等同
PRE PRECHAMP, 所以前一阵关于如何处理NOVICE还有一些争论,一派意见是直接把NOVICE
作为GOLD和PRECHAMP之间的一级,那么B |

其中之一了。目前倾向于Novice 1，主要是Novice 2每周一个连续跑三天，怕knee受不
了，而Novice 1可以用一个cross-training代替其中一次跑，可能对我更适合一些。这
两个都是12周计划，所以我还有四周作最后决定。感觉其中任何一个计划都比那个
3Plus2更适合目前的我。我很高兴在实施3Plus2之前到跑步线咨询并得到很好的建议。 |

novice是一个级别比较高的水平。我先给你个顺序吧。
职业级别只有两个：open 和 rising star. open的选手不能参加rising star 级
别的比赛。但是新手可以参加open级别的比赛。
业余组从底到高的顺序是：newcomer, bronze, silver, gold, pre-novice, novi
ce, pre-championship, championship
一般来讲，gold 和其以前的级别都是只能跳基本布的(syllabus figures). 而pr
e-novice 和其后的级别是跳什么都行的。有些比赛规定pre-novice 只能跳syllab
us figures.
这个水平级别排列顺序是肯定没错的。但是有的时候，pre-novice里的人不见得比
gold里的人跳得好。不过那时另外一回事。
另外，我再次祝贺latiner dd在这次比赛中有如此好的成绩。你们都还年轻，只要
稍加时日，前途无量！

像偶们从头学又请不起老师陪比赛的，就从syllabus开始跳，跳完gold跳pre-champ。
一般大学的比赛都有很多的syllabus level，外面成人的比赛因为老师陪跳的情况很多
，所以很多都是从Novice开始。
一般来说，业余水平的比赛里（amateur):
College competitions, for example, MIT open, Harvard Open, DCDI :
New comer -> Bronze -> Silver -> Gold -> Pre-champ -> Championship
Adult competitions:
Novice -> Pre-champ(Rising star) -> Championship
Pre-Champ 之后两边的水平划分就一致了。
Novice 如果能place的话，应该和gold的水平相当，不过不受syllabus 限制。
夏天没什么大学的比赛，打算跳跳novice呢，虽然也还是只做syllabus的动作 :P |

2dance的项目。
理论上讲，pre-novice都比gold要求的水平要高，因为是open dance，也是multi
dance。但实际上呢倒是不见得。在业余组里，很多人都是想跳啥就跳啥。
进步的真正顺序是：
newcomer-bronze-silver-gold-prenovice-novice-prechamp-champion-becoming a
professional.
你也可以直接从newcomer当professional也没人会不让。呵呵。
一般来讲是往上跳可以，往下跳不可以，当然，其实也没人监督这玩意儿。 |

赛了，实在是太搞了，（或者那个比赛的novice同大学比赛的novice意思不一样？），而
且他们背后那些对对都比他们那几个好，结果还是他们几个进了决赛，看得我狂ft.
里面确实有Slavic和Serena，在Richard Gere的同事带他去的那个舞会的一开始在一群人
围的一个圈子里跳了大概10秒钟镜头就换到别的地方去了
故事方面呢，基本是全盘照搬日本原版，还删除掉了一些原版里面比较关键的情节，另外
加重了Susan Sarandon的戏份，感觉里面配角都还不错，6 feet under里面的Richard
Jenkins在里面演那个私家侦探，Will&Grace里面演Will的男朋友的那个人也在这里面，
最后居然也成了个gay，但是主角都不行，Richard Gere还是不如役所广司....还有就是
那个唱歌的Mya在Chicago, Dirty Dancing里面都露了一小脸后这次又出来了几分钟 |

couple from NC. They are the best I think, both Latin and Standard. They got
3rd I think, not 2nd as I said last time. The 2nd is the couple from IL.
颁奖的时候巨搞笑。 我和舞伴站在最后， 没听清heat number， 结果公布我们这一组的
时候我们以为是上一个heat Novice的结果。因为我们Precham的其他几对couple多数都参
加了Novice的比赛，我们看到他们领奖也没觉得奇怪。 结果一直公布到我们觉得实力很
不错的IL那对couple得第二名得时候，我们还都以为是novice，所以还愣在那里傻乎乎的
等着下一个heat。后来我们教练还笑我们说，他们看台上一帮人都给我们欢呼了，我们居

pro-am当然是从bronze开跳啊。从novice开跳的我还真没听说过。
你说为的成人比赛是什么? 听起来是指pro-am。其实跳舞只有三类：amateur,
professional and pro-am. 大学的业余比赛和外面的professional competition（比
如ohio starball)的业余组的比赛，都是业余比赛。还有就是一般人不会跳过novice这
个level。你的意思是从gold直接pre-champ了。这个不现实。当然你也可以从bronze直
接跳championship,也没人管你。
pro-am的比赛也是跟业余组的比赛一样从bronze跳起。

以也没撞到东西.
听说是上周末在georgia有个全国的比赛,所以我们这的好车手基本都去那边比了
昨天水平是我去的这么多次里面最低的.好几个novice都是非常慢地开法. 非novice的也
就只有几个club的核心人物(因为要照顾这边的活动所以才没去georgia可能)比较牛B.
其它都一般般.
平时开的最快,走线最好的几个车一个也没见着. |

within 18 months, which is close enough) and he also wrote a bullish piece

刚拿到了Facebook的offer，终于见到了网络上流传的20万$的package，原来是把base
， bonus， 每年的RSU折现，全加起来，这才接近传说中的20万$。
还有些一次性地签字费搬家费，几万刀
没见到版上前面帖子说的几万股甚至十几万股的RSU，估计是我没赶上趟，太迟了，或
者我太弱了，或者那只是传说。
福利方面确实还不错，
medical plan比我其他offer的强多了，基本干什么都是10$的copay那种
除法定假期外，每年有二十多天paid off vacation,这个很不错。
吃饭干洗什么的公司都免费提供。不过好像没有免费的公司day care， 这点不如
google。但是每年有几千美元day care的补贴。
生孩子公司送4000美元的cash。 领养送5000美元（领养反而多，这算是啥意思嘛？）

A few years ago what you said might be true, but the recent several years
too many novices started to drive..
and a lot of the time you will find it unbearable when these novices drive
like snail, do not run for yellow light, take a minute just to start, make
no cut at all...so on and on. |

另一方面，什么都不会的学生，教育学上一般叫做novice。只注重思维上的创新而忽视

大家好，
目前我是F1学生身份。我暑假在Seattle实习，公司寄来的W2上的State Income Tax是
空白的，没有数字。默认算是0吧。华盛顿州没有州税。
我住的地方在加州，现在准备给加州政府报税，如果算上暑假在Seattle实习的工资，
我还要向加州政府交钱。
请问，像我这种情况应该如何交税？主要是一下几个问题：
1， 我应该算Resident 还是 Non-Resident？ 全年除了实习的时候，都在加州。在
Seattle实习的时间刚好超过3个月，也就是说在加州不足9个月。
2， Seattle的实习的工资是否应该被算入State income？

自己这几个月的找工作经历吧，国人还是挺帮忙的。遇到的国人都很nice。（有20多岁
的，也有40多岁的。所以年龄不是问题）
面试的时候遇到的印度人真的是很差劲，面了好几个公司，总结一下印度面试官们通用
的面试伎俩吧。老中也可以学习用来对付烙印。
1, 如果在5分钟之内给出正确解题思路，印度面试官一定会质疑你做过这道题，然后换
题。这个伎俩被多个大公司（LinkedIn, Microsoft, etc）还有小公司（某个最近特火
的social
startup）的烙印面试官多次使用。
2，面试题为无标答设计题，烙印上来就说，这题没有标准答案，你怎么答都行，关键
是看你的想法思路。在答题过程中，你会发现自己多数时候提出的想法，烙印面试官都
