看：
A tax credit reduces the total amount of income tax you owe. So, if you owed
$10,000 in federal income tax, a $2,000 credit would reduce the amount you
owed to $8,000. With a credit, your actual savings would be $2,000.
这么说来，如果我们家联合报税时候需要补交税不到7500（从去年报税上看今年大概3K
左右），加上这个credit，就不用交税了？不知道这么理解是否正确？
如果这样的话，岂不是想办法在今年尽可能多一些taxable income（e.g., 卖股票），
反正有7500的credit？谢谢！ |

quit at appropriate time. You don't owe anybody. This is America, don't use
Chinese way to think. You get paid for what you do, you don't owe anyone.
Several things need to be kept in mind:
1. Always keep a good relationship with your advisor. Your quitting usually
won't offend a nice PI, it's personal choice especially if it's about very
personal reason. So you need to find a nice boss, not an asshole.
