3个医生，还有眼科和一个hospital的外科医生，其他两个很快就打电话和寄信来了，
眼科都看完了，外科是19号去看，就是这个，我当时问为什么这么久，说医生休假去了
，7号回来的，我想7号到现在也很久了呀。记得当时pediatrics说是让我们等就可以了。

检查，眼睛一年一次，牙半年一次。从来没有过任何不愉快的经历。我的Pediatric
optometrist说6个月就可以查了。我LG也是很小就开始近视带眼镜，所以我们对这个比
较重视。医生说可以看出来我儿子将来一定会近视，但是现在还好。 |

allergist-immunologist. 这两种我都看过，我娃三个月的时候也有湿疹，干性的，
很快就控制好了。同时看两种医生，第一种教你如何保护/治疗皮肤，第二种给你测过
敏源，如果是好的医生，会给你解释很多原理，不需要自己去这样冒险测试。你也说了
，主要过敏源没去掉，别的实验结果都是没有意义的，再说也不是三天两天就能下结论
的。那个纽西兰的奶粉吃了有问题就应该马上停掉，过敏娃的饮食也以简单为好，你给
娃吃的有些东西那么小的娃不一定能好好吸收，营养未必好。感觉你对娃的情况把握了
很多细节，但是似乎被细节overwhelm了，赶紧去看医生测过敏源吧，我想问题可以解
决一半。 |

的最烂的期刊，可以没有之一，典型的灌水杂志
再说文章内容
lz解读的有问题，属于有点望文生义，至少对结论有夸大的成分，文章原始结论是促进
脂肪相关基因的表达，准确的说是转录水平而已
文章做的是离体细胞实验，也就是生物上常用的cell line
在培养基上长的细胞的状况和细胞在体内的状况本来就还差的很远的距离，不管是细胞
生长还是分化，离体细胞系和体内都差得很远
活体是不是能促进相关基因的表达，都还不一定能得出同样的结论
如果做药物研究，一般来说，先是细胞实验，其次才是模式动物，也就是通常说的小白

们就用了house pediatrician。对于怀老二，生老二，我也一直没有找最好的医院，我
想反正妊娠正常去哪个医院都是一样的，美国一般的医院也不会太差。House
pediatrician三天都来了，听心跳做各种各样的检查，都说没问题。
出院后第二天，老公带宝宝去见我们自己的儿医，我在家也没多想，反正就是登记记录

，去看一下专门的pediatric neurologist, 或者developmental pediatrics，他们懂
得比较多，可以给你更好的建议。
我儿子就是speech/language delay，两岁之前能主动说的词也就五，六个左右。是他
的neurologist建议我们找speech therapist。这个therapist每次带一堆玩具，到家里
来跟他玩游戏，在两人的互动过程中鼓励孩子学习语言。现在证明这种方法还是有效的。
一开始我也对speech therapist的评估结果有所保留，觉得她没有考虑双语因素。但是
评估结果本身对孩子，对家庭都没什么意义，孩子能不能进步才是问题的关键。你家孩
子有没有因为想法表达不出来非常frustrated的时候呢？有没有因此发过脾气呢？我儿
子两岁左右就经常这样。但是他表达能力提高之后，人变得比以前更快乐更自信。而
therapist来跟他玩儿，他也觉得新鲜有趣。所以你现在对这个事情重视一些，不是在
push他，是在帮他。 |

想找牙医检查下牙齿。
pediatric dentist优势明显吗？当然无论哪种牙医都有好有差。
还是找个普通review好的牙医 就可以？
主要是pediatric dentist都在20mile以上，爷爷奶奶肯定要跟去的（不然光我和小孩
在外面吃饭的话 比较无聊），为了看个牙，如此兴师动众有点头大。
第一次啊，没经验。
还有就是，第一次检查会X ray吗？（我估计老公肯定反对，所以提前问问）
我们肉眼看不出虫牙蛀牙之类。
会洗牙吗？（肯定不可能配合的，现在刷牙前3分钟是相当配合的，再久一点，就跑掉
了）。

early intervention机构，最近会有一个两个半小时的evaluation, 然后会安排
speech therapist 和 occupational therapist。
要fully evaluate ASD需要排队至少八个月。我想问一下在diagnose之前，我们有可能
约到ABA吗？如果可以，怎么联系？是不是必须pediatrician refer Pediatric
Neurologist, 再从Pediatric Neurologist那边refer ABA ?

dentist的助手清理牙齿的，而我儿子去的是pediatric dentist本人亲自上阵的，
还得父母之一紧紧抱住，否则1岁多的小朋友哭闹起来，没有一定经验根本搞不定。 |

,结果从车上爬出来撞到了几十瓶酒,还把自己的手指给摔骨折了.看完还和老公老妈说
带娃出门真是要小心啊,尤其是宝宝大一点了,活动能力增强了,力气也大了.周六出去逛
街,我和老妈去店里买衣服,老公带着17个月大的宝宝在店外面玩.等我们出了店门发现
宝宝在哭.我赶紧过去抱起来,娃看到我不哭了,可是过了几秒钟又哭了.我问老公怎么回
事,老公说他也很纳闷,估计是把他的手拉疼了.然后把刚才的情况描述了一下--我娃比
较好动, 力气也特别大.我家炒菜的大锅一个手就能拿起来.一加仑的桶装水也提得起来
.又喜欢到处跑,我老公怕他跑丢了就一直拉着手不放.但是娃力气大,一挣就脱开了.然
后老公就拉住宝宝的手腕不让他到处跑.娃不爽了,用力猛得往地上一坐,老公没放手.当
时宝宝没啥,过了一会,就开始哭了.老公回想起来觉得可能是娃那一下用力往地上坐的

去自己找的儿医那里做检查.至少我这里是这样的.我大概是预产期前一个多月找的儿医
吧.其实也没有定下来具体要哪个医生,就是去家附近的几个pediatric转了一圈,选定了
一家,等到生完以后给他们打个电话预约就好了.如果你有朋友推荐,或者你看上了附近
的那个pediatric,都不需要去现场考察,生完以后打电话预约就行了.确认一下保险是in
network就好. |

我们是4个月前才从麻省的农村地带搬到chicago 地区。那时候还没有确诊儿子是自闭
症，只是觉得他有developmental delay。就是觉得chicago西郊的学区很好。对孩子好
。谁知道IL州对自闭症的孩子 的service真的不好。
另外还有一条路，据说chicago西郊naperville一带的学区特别好，他们那里的special
ed的program要好于别的学区，因为那个学区有钱人多谢，所以学校的funding比较足
。我们在考虑在那里买房，然后就可以进那个学区的special ed program了。
搬家牵扯到很多问题。比如说如果你搬到一个福利好的州，但是一个很rural的小town
里面，虽然政府cover很多治疗，但是那里的资源确实十分有限，还是一样不解决问题
。就拿我们以前来说，我们在MA的一个很小的town里面，MA的福利虽然好，可是那个小
town的资源确实非常有限。我们想找个pediatric neurologist做下
neurophychological test，waiting list却长达半年甚至一年之久。而我们搬到

宝宝六岁, 有龋齿, 但每次看牙都跟打仗一样, 害怕, 不配合, 不张嘴.
pediatric dentist 给用了两回 sedation (就是保险不cover的那种大杯的麻药, 喝了
小孩就睡了那种, 一杯大概 350刀+), 补了 10+ 个洞, 还安了一个钢crown.
但没多久就掉了好几个 filling, 回去再重新补又是喝 sedation , 结果装上又掉. 这
次回去找他时候忍不住朝医生怒了, 但医生的借口是小孩不老实, 虽然有用了
sedation.
这次我们拒绝再给小孩喝 sedation .

六月份的國際期刊Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine刊登了一篇
電視影響幼兒語言發展的研究。
研究的方法是：每一個月隨機選一天將一個家庭所有的對話都錄音起來，連續兩年
。當然，這些家庭裡必定有2到48個月大的幼兒。共有329個家庭被研究。
經過研究這些錄音的結果發現，每當電視的聲音出現，大人跟寶寶講話的頻率就會
降低。降到多低呢？平均每小時下降770個字（英文）。您知道成人每小時平均說話的
字數是多少嗎？940個字！電視讓成人減少了80%以上的語言。
美國兒科醫學會建議，兩歲以下的小孩不應該接受到任何電視的刺激，另外兩歲以

Pediatric Gastroenterology are all booked up until March or April. Only when
my pediatrician gave them a call, they probably will see him soon. But my
pediatrician just gave us some pepto to relieve his pain ( I called him
just now and he said he didn’t think my baby need to see the specialists).
Looks like poor thing need to go thru the weekend with a lot of pain.

will learn a lot about how to take care of your child teeth. See dentist
every 6 months. Obviously young child will not cooperate, we pediatric
dentists have the way to exam your child. |

我不知道你这个阿姨说的发育是什么意思。俺只能理解为性发育。在儿科上，性发育的
标志是第二性征的出现。在女孩儿包括乳房开始发育，出现阴毛等等的第二性征。
2010年的儿科杂志（Pediatrics）的研究说美国女孩在7-8岁出现乳房发育的比例比过

If not, I highly recommended you find another pediatric dentist to obtain
2nd opinion.
if you can see 4-5 蛀牙, most likely these 4-5 蛀牙 need Crown and possible
baby root canal treatment.
since your child is very young, if did not placed crown, sometime, the
restoration will be loss in near future. If it is happened, you child has to
place crown, maybe in Hospital OR again. |

suggest first dental visit within 1 year.
pediatric dentist check not only caries. the examination includes occlusion
such as crossbites, soft tissue (tongue tie, labial frenum, ulcers, Herps..)
, habit (thumb sucking, pacifier which can affect child oral development
such as open bite).
we also check if child had abnoraml tooth development. if there is limited
space or loss space for future permanent teeth eruption, the oral appliance

晚上 daycare 的话，也就是教育的关系，这个没有那么立竿见影，甚至没有
啥比较 objective 的标准衡量，外加小孩个体差异很大，一般的也真不好说。
老实说，从 K 开始上也算是主流了。
类似的话题还有跳级好不好之类的，没对照组很难简单评判。
pediatric 研究是基于统计学/行为学/心理学，有原因分析，有对照组，相对
比较靠谱些。
我第一个小孩是两岁上的 daycare，有英文语言环境适应的问题。我都是看
American Pediatric 之类的建议，不同的办法里面，选适合自己的做。外
加 try-and-correct 稍稍调整。 |

we ever saw a well-known pediatric neurologist, yet she draw some conclusion
totally opposite to what a research psychologist did.
This forces us to learn different opinions from experts, and dig into how
they came to a conclusion. In time, we have confidence in who is better than
another, although all of them are experts.
Do NOT trust pediatrician too much. Most, if not all, of them are not
qualified in ASD assessing at all. |

，一旦小孩发现这种情况，别轻信别人的安慰之语，更别自己吓自己。
《自闭症ABC行为量表》由Krug于1978 年编制，沿用至今，是非常不错的自查工具。据
说此表适用于任何年龄--我本人持有限的怀疑。
此表有多种用法，下面选的是个人觉得最容易操作的一种。网上也能找到excel版的，
据说更准。全表包括57个题目，包括感觉能力（S）、交往能力（R）、运动能力（B）
、 语言能力（L）和自我照顾能力（S）五个方面，每项选择依次从0~4分为五等，其中
0分表示该事件不发生，4分则表示这个事件在该儿童身上表现特别明显，其余类推。要
求评定者与儿童至少共同生活 3-6 周。
1 喜欢长时间自身旋转
2 学会做一件简单的事，但很快就忘记。
3 经常没有接触环境或进行交往的要求。
4 往往不能接受简单的指令（如坐下、过来等）
5 不会玩玩具（如没完没了地转动、乱扔、揉等）
6 视觉辨别能力差（如对一种物体的特征、大小、颜色、位置等辨别能力差）。
7 无交往性微笑（即不会与人点头、招呼、微笑）
