，被攻击方然后反攻击，现在想向大家征求一下，在这种情况下，大家觉得该怎么处罚。
1. 只处罚先挑事的ID
2. 同时处罚两个人，对先挑事的加重处罚
希望大家参与本次投票。虽然personel attack的事在版面发生不多，指不定就碰上了。

我担心这个record对我不利，打算fight一下，最好能使他1）take the letter back，
或者2）take the letter out of personel file。但是估计他不会同意。
有没有其它办法能够至少减轻这个record对我的不利？

the certificate expires, but I don't know how soon, probably one year.
It is good if you have this training, at least for your loved ones. it is
also good for your match.
There is another more professional training: ACLS, required for medical

是要看军队的考核训练标准。
神臂弓按硬度分了很多等级，最高级别的不是一般人能张得开的。梦溪笔谈里面说“今
之武卒蹶弩，有及九石者”。所谓射300步的，估计就是这些core strength天赋异禀的
人，配上最高等级的弩，甚至试验品。实际上的优秀弩手，最高也就装备4石多的制式
弩。
实际上，神臂弓的标准是120步。“是月，又诏复神臂弓射法为百二十步”。实际上120
步不过是射程，射准则还要更近。优秀弩手的标准是100步射准：“弩手，带甲百步射
，四石力，箭十二，五箭中垛为本等”
对比一下，优秀弓手的标准是60步射准：“殿、步司诸军弓箭手，带甲六十步射，一石
二斗力，箭十二，六箭中垛为本等”。可见宋朝和明朝不一样，宋朝弓的射程不及弩。
但是，请注意：一方面是宋朝的神臂弓的确相对比较强（否则就不会吹到天上去了），
但神臂弓也不过尔尔，特别是他是在宋朝的弓太弱的背景下承托出来的。
请看上面，宋朝的优秀弓手标准，才“一石二斗力”！！这个简直要笑掉大牙。难怪宋

归内务部管，单位经费其实高过陆军。但应该没有重武器，比如坦克重炮武直什么的。
现在的内务部长是前财政部长，孟买枪战后因为德高望重当了内务部长，当时说三年消
灭共党。现在老印怪他乱讲话，说是不必要的挑衅毛派,make it personel了，所以他
老上台后毛派作乱猖獗。现在是军队在边上说风凉话，说警察部队训练比陆军差远了，
但真让陆军上去，可能更现眼，毕竟警察部队都是当地招募的和毛派有血债的地头蛇，

its rightfulness. At the time it was enacted, people did need guns to
defend themselves. More than 200 years later, guns owned by non-military
personel do much more evil than good.
If the bill of 2nd Amendment was infront of the congress/president/states
today, it would be impossbile for it to be enacted. However, with the way
the constitution structured, too bad it is unlikely to repeal the 2nd

这段时间主要议题是annual faculty review。上周teaching,这周research.
细节太多了，简单说几点体会吧。另外偶说得也只是个例。据我所知，一个学校不同系
都不一样。这东西都说是confidential的，偶就略去很多细节。
背景是reserch univ, average teaching 3/yr.普通science系。
Teaching
1. student enrollment和teaching evaluation很重要，基本也就看着两点。
2. 有的老师把travel期间给自己代课的老师注上，表示感谢，也给别人credit.赞啊。
Research
1. 看grant, paper and presentation三个部分。
2. Grant 比偶以为的重要多了。因为，that means how much you bring to
university.想起参加一个给Early career faculty的一个workshop, topic之一就是
run a research |

1.谨慎，谨慎，谨慎；吃小亏保大局。为了便宜机票早回国几天，这不是授人以柄吗？
千万别想着小聪明钻空子。好多事情可大可小，没必要take risk.
2.要follow系里的culture.系里大家都坐班，你就做；大家的service一般是volunteer
，你也要volunteer做一些。junior的做不了personel committee,做做学生award
committee，学生advising什么的，等到系主任来点你，就有问题了。
3.善于sense人事关系，但是不多嘴。适当忍耐退让。
4.这点是一个senior faculty分析某人没拿到tenure以后说的，不要和同事成为敌人，
也不要和同事成为太好的朋友，前半句好理解，后半句为什么？因为，成为朋友以后，
朋友的敌人就自动变成了你的敌人。

1.做Co-PI，但是budget上最多只能算两个月的工资，其他10个月的要自己想办法
2.不做Co-PI, 只做一个senior personel，这样可以算12个月的工资
我想问问版上的faculty们，特别是CS, iSchool的，有没有这样成文的规定（我没有找
到）？
如果是research associate呢？很奇怪，很多research associate不是靠NSF的funding

周二全天她负责医院的SURGICAL TEAM，全天待命。 周三她不是负责，但是

我崇拜啊。。当医生这么清闲么？ 她的说法是：we need well rested
medical personel to be on call. "WELL RESTED"，很重要啊！ 我觉得
我还是很信得过医院的。：）
我当时是催转剖，不过不是紧急剖，孩子一点儿没窘迫，所以他们叫
SURGICAL TEAM叫了1小时，我生生等了一小时，很无聊。如果是紧急的话，
估计快很多了。呵呵。：）

首先对于版面在帖子里对其他同学进行人身攻击的，我基本是发信提醒两次，必要时，
删帖，或者清理帖子，从第三次开始送黑屋休假。
安神多次在猴哥的帖子里对猴哥进行挑衅，说猴哥是破死盗。猴哥以往都没有反击。从
