下师兄师姐
的建议。我是高能物理方向，对以后没什么很明晰的打算，但应该很大的可能继续做物

examination，但我刚来宾州一周，公司正式的医保还没有开始（10.1）。现有的破医
保又不给cover physical examination。
请问这种physical examination在医院自己花钱做的话贵吗？有没有什么便宜的地方推
荐？我特别希望能在上班前搞定驾照，否则上班太痛苦了呵呵。

今天这个消息很搞，很雷，或者说，很雷达：
Raiders 昨天签了软木的 OL Rodger Saffold，
5年，42.5 M，21 M 钙润体。
结果今天一查physical，failed。
本来还有缓和余地，比如让他去做手术，
能赶上训练营，
但是队主 Mark Davis (Al 的儿子？) 一声令下：
此人不要了。
于是合约作废。
不过Rodger Saffold 也不生气，
转身跟老东家软木又签了5年。 |

then it's Advanced Placement Physics. AP courses are advanced high school
courses you can take. if you pass the AP exam at the end, you can apply the
credit to college freshman level courses. for example, if you take AP physics
in high school and pass the AP exam (which is a national exam) at the end, you
do not need to take physics 101 in college.

发帖数: 27 | 40 我刚从physical therapy program 毕业，正在找工作，很难说钱有多少。但总体感觉
PT 的选择还是挺多的。假如是inpatient 或者 nursing home,可能体力活多一点，但
总是可以找PTA( physical therapy assistant) 或者physical therapist aid 甚至护
士帮忙的。但假如做outpatient,基本上就是陪病人运动了，自己也健身，蛮好！
目前PT 基本上是向DPT 发展，即使读的是MPT,也有t-DPT可以选择。

独立的一个program，完全由MDAnderson的Imaging Physics Department和Radiation
Physics Department管理，在这个上面要求似乎不是很严格。你可以自己去发信去问
program coodinator。
Accreditation是可以renew的。基本上正常的program都能做到renew成功吧，除非是特
别差的。 |

to practice. So you have a long way to go after graduation.
You can not go to residency directly without MD degree, usually an outsider
goes to residency program through 3+2 (3 year postdoc + 2 year residency).
they are more prefer to people from experimental nuclear physics, and
experimental HEP. The opportunity for other physics majors are very very
tiny.

company.
What is USML?
Many medical schools state that they accept people for residency with a
background in physics, chemistry, or engineering. A MD degree is not
required. However, they want these people to have some experience with
medical physics.
Also I guess with a MS in medical physics I can apply for a job directly. |

小弟MD背景，现正在一排名50左右的学校读medical physics phd. 当初被系头一阵忽
悠，说什么这个program 就业前景广阔，还可以考physist board，而且这个program马
上就要被accreditted了，没有工作经验就可以考physicist board第一步。。。。。结
果现在都两年了，accreditted的事连个影都没有，所设的课程全是垃圾，感觉什么都
没学到。现在这个郁闷啊。。。。。。
而且最近新出的什么规定,undergraduate physics degree is required, 这不明摆着
certifiticated physicist没指望了啊。
请各位前辈指条明路！谢了先！ |

到工作。医学物理，特别是临床放疗的，经验最重要。PHD跟本没有用。我是BOARD－
CERTIFIED，找工作好费劲。关系非常重要。医学物理师按照我的理解，就是一个高级
操作工。到WIKI的MEDICAL PHYSICS条目，我发现there is debate whether medical
physicist in radiotherapy is a real scientist or a glorified technician,
which is published in the journal: Medical Physics.我非常赞同这一点. medical
physics 课程极其简单，基本上什么人只要training一下都可以做.这也是为什么没有
关系，工作难找.
而且工作非常不稳定性，我见过很多physicists在一个地方干了几年，又换到另一个地
方干几年。主要原因是physicists in hospitals地位低，什么radiotherapists,
