啊，唯一的区别就是那些pickles,tomatoes,onion,etc可以像subway那样自己选，不过
真没啥。还有那个薯条真是跟麦当劳的没法比。边吃边继续怀念国内的肯德基辣鸡翅汉
堡，不是一个level的。 |

O哼童鞋看来撑了几个月的确是撑不住没有湘菜的生活了，居然主动约稿。好吧，既然
不能不远万里跑到Boston去做给你吃，你也没法到我们这鸟不拉屎的乡下来，姐姐我就
顶着一人中的痘痘专门为了你再做一次野山椒炒牛肉，身不由己的为此吃了两大碗饭，
写成了这一篇美食日记远程教学！我够意思吧？！
野山椒炒牛肉是我最爱的经典湘菜之一，读本科的时候住的宿舍一出大门不远就有一家
叫做“湘潭活鱼馆”的湘菜馆，那里的鲶鱼豆腐汤真是一绝，但是我的最爱却是那里的

park的球类有棒球，垒球，足球和篮球，还有老人玩的pickle ball（不知拼的准不准
）...并不就橄榄球啊。
昨晚参加图书馆征文获奖小仪式，才知道小儿得的是4年级的第二名，小学组初中组高
中组共7名winner。奖品是一样的，一笔一奖状一个书店的gift card. 当然第一名还可
以参加全市范围的竞赛，争取拿手提。
小儿现在有点遗憾他没有认真对待这事，因为拥有自己的手提是他这一两年来孜孜以求
的梦想！呵呵 |

（楼上说的 sauerkraut 虽然华人称为酸菜，但与正宗中国酸菜相去甚远。好吃是很好
吃，但绝对不正宗！基本上它就不是很酸，而且是用 cabbage 做的。如果要酸的东西
，大概只有 pickle，腌黄瓜了。） |

distance（他在加州读博），而且和老板有些矛盾，就quit phd去加州了。OPT时工作过
几个月，但是经济形势很差公司不给办H1b，OPT结束后只能转成F2。
如今我老公可能拿到houston一家大公司的offer，我就开始考虑在houston或者austin
重新读材料学phd。主要是发现Material Science的master很难找工作，另外没有博士
学位也是我心里的一个伤痛。请问有人了解Rice或者UT Austin的Material Science
phd program吗？毕业生在houston是否容易找工作呢？谢谢！
BTW，我本科是国内名校的物理专业，GPA还行（不是大牛）。刚刚重新考了GRE，分数
相当

Pickle Research campus, DELL, Sumsung
安全，安静！交通方便：近mopac/loop1/I35。 购物方便：几分钟到HEB @ pamer ln
and mopac, 美成，韩国汉阳超市。
1-1户型，近800 square feet. 饭厅，厨房，客厅，吧台配备良好，客厅饭厅是木地板
。室内就有洗衣机和烘干机的connection。卫生间很大，卧室连着一个walkin closet。
小区为近几年新建，房子在一楼，夏天非常凉快，基本不用空调，进出也很方便，小区
很安全，大门口有gate，小区人员很热情，帮忙接受包裹，小区有游泳池，健身房，娱
乐室和free parking。
我的lease到明年5月，如果愿意接替我的lease，我可以提供$500的rebate. 现在房租

Westwood：spicewood 78759 附近是中国超市和中餐馆多一些。
Westlake：在西边靠湖，北边上班的话，不如spicewood方便。
78727里也有一个角儿初高中很好，不过小学不行，家里半大孩子，且预算不够的话，
