我们两个月前刚搬进新买的房子里. 半个月后发现主卧的天花板上有漏水的痕迹, 主卧
的上面没有房间,就是屋顶. 因为当时颜色很淡所以没很在意. 不过最近发现水渍颜色
加深, 而且旁边多了一块水渍. 这些水渍的位子恰好对着屋顶的一个vent pipe. 我们
这儿上个月有段时间老是下雷阵雨.我们就怀疑是不是vent pipe漏了. 我打了电话给装
修公司的人, 他建议如果真是vent pipe的问题的话, 我们家的所有的vent pipe 都应
该换了, 因为我们的房子是94年的, 他说很可能所有的vent pipe 下面的底座都老化了
. 我想知道我们有没有必要把vent pipe全换掉? 另外不知道大家有没有可以推荐的修
这方面的能手.我住在DFW 地区. 多谢. |

车是99年 CAMRY 4-2164 2.2L ，近一年，开车踩油门时噪音有点大，所以也怀疑
排气管问题。

the rain/ground water seeped out and flowed back into the basement on the
outside of the pipe when we had a heavy rain. We had the yard dug up, once
in 2005 and again in 2012. after Sandy, and the had both the pipe fully
repaired, and an extra thick seal attached on the outside, by an

break tomorrow though. For the house we inspected which has water pipe in
exterior wall (which was criticized by the inspector), the pipe was not
broken any way.
PEX would be better. Please ask your contractor.
If you have no other option, put the pipe as close to the inside as possible
, which you have done, and spray insulation spray foam around it for
better insulation. Good Luck!!

这个面子给得太大了点, 不好意思.
其实我倒是没觉得开局自己多有利.而且进入中局之后,王前兵阵的破坏是个致命伤,不然
后面压力会小得多. 另外在中局是老是觉得没有什么办法,所以应该是走了很多废棋.
至于最后的结果么,其实是悔了若干步的结果,也不值一提. 倒是pipe如果不想急着杀我
的话,把自己的篱笆先扎扎好,我应该是必败的(因为我王前的缺陷).
BTW,那天跟pipe下了三局,全是我执白,结果是负了前两局,而第三局就是pipe点评的这局.
PS. pipe你手边有一副棋么?不然怎么复盘研究的? |

P2 read in data from stdin and do some processing, now I am using pipe
as follows in linux:

what happens is that P2 is not getting data from the pipe every sec, it
seems
that it wait for the pipe to be filled full by P1, and read a lot of lines
out.
My question is: why the pipe performs like this way? wouldn't P2 should
read one line as soon as it sees a '\n'? |

挺有意思。Sally Pipes的观点主要是美国的健康保险计划没有媒体说的那么
糟糕，相反是世界上相对来说高效低价的。我听的那个时段她分析了媒体常
提的几条观点：
1. 美国有46.3M没有健康保险的人。Pipes说这个数据要分开来看。46M里
大概有14M是可以申请Medicaid和SCHIP的，但是他们不愿意用这些服务，
因为直接到急诊室更容易 -- Medicaid的报销费太低，导致很多医生不愿意
接受medicaid病人，导致20%用meidicaid的人找不到医生。另外不用了
保险的人给医疗系统的压力只占医疗预算的1%，medicare和medicaid占
了5%。另外有几百万是不怎么生病的年轻人。他们选择不买保险。还有9M
是非法移民，买不了保险。再刨去暂时丢掉工作所以没有保险的人（这些人
没有保险的时间大概是6 |

是这样的：
FR: The main waste piping is aged cast iron. This piping is at or very close
to its average life expectancy. It is not possible to predict the remaining
life of this piping. You should expect that you may have to make repairs or
replacements in the near future. Monitor for deterioration and/or leakage
and repair as necessary.
问了几个朋友说很多老房子都是这样的，不用太担心，以后堵了找人捅就行。如果要换

发帖数: 16778 | 22 sprinkler pvc漏水。于是开挖。终于看到破裂的pvc tee 了。

中间挖错了位置。挖了2.5feet深，还不见pvc。只好重新打开sprinkler，还好，看到水
流，就确定了方位。新方位离我挖的地方差6 inches。我挖的地方正好作为蹲下去的工
作区。
由于要更换pvc tee。所以我制定了两道方案。一套方案是将旧pvc tee 剥落下来，重
新安装新tee，这样不用剪切pipe。我拿来heat gun，很快就把tee的上部剥落。但是下
部由于没有工作空间，操作很不方便。加之，中午100度高温的太阳直照下工作，我很
快累得不行了。于是采用第二套方案。
第二套方案，cut 这个pvc tee，买pvc coupling， pvc cement，pvc pipe，
计算好尺寸后，上胶水。这个尺寸需要自己计算。pvc pipe需要剪多长。
旧管子需要剪多少。
check fit before gluing。
上完胶水，等了5个小时后，我在清洗一个sprinkler valve的时候，重新装上后，这个

女生，4Runner，99或者00年的Toyota。
后来拖车到dealer那里，被告知是Exhaust pipe和Muffler都需要换。原来是有人偷
pipe，同时把muffler给切坏了，所以两个都要换。我的车没全保，只是basic的。估计

是不打算要这辆车，让他帮我卖掉。
今天听朋友说起，他觉得要价太高。我才意识到可能并不需要那么多钱。可是后来想想
，只要花费超过500，我就不打算修了，这车还是卖了吧。
不确定converter是不是被偷了，但记得dealer说有个什么东西比较值钱，超过1000，
好像他也提到过converter。

microwave, shower, toilet, heater, AC. 所有的都在大概５到６平米的一个cabin.

感觉yahoo pipes主要是信息聚合，侧重点不是网络数据的处理，当然以后可能会有
如果做一个类似的平台，侧重在数据处理，比如股票信息，物价等。也就是从
webservice得到数据，进行一些运算，处理，得到想要得一些结果。
手头已经有个类似软件平台的框架， |
