Over the last couple of days, we’ve had a good debate at Hot Air over the
nature of our fiscal crisis between Jazz Shaw, and J. E. Dyer, and me. At
least we all recognize that we have a fiscal crisis; some members of
Congress and “intellectual authorities” (with interesting if unreported
conflicts of interest) still act as though nothing at all is wrong. My

Charles Q. Choi, LiveScience ContributorDate: 26 July 2011 Time: 07:01 PM ET

Brains are larger in those who live farther from the equator — in order to
help them see better, researchers now suspect.
Scientists have long known that brain volume increases with latitude — that
is, the closer one gets to the poles.
"That might be mistaken for implying that intelligence increases with
latitude," said researcher Robin Dunbar, an evolutionary anthropologist at

I was just half-watching Fox News (Shep Smith is annoying, but he can be

If you point out a wave of racial mob violence, you are "race-baiting,"

The wave of racist violence committed by black flash mobs is different from
any other form of racism today. The neglected social problem of racial mob
