结果今年因为是F１的第６年了， 不能用往年学校提供的软件填， 用了 TurboTax 的
free version , 我的情况简单到不行，没有任何大的变动，
结果， federal 和 state 的还和以前差不多， state 从以前的５０块涨到２００块
， 算合理。
但是填到 property tax refund 的时候， 居然说我 NOT qualify, 我也看不出 到
底为什么， 和我的 F１－第６年有关吗？
整个过程，只用到了W－２， 连１０４２-s 都没用到， 正常吗？ |

they are qualified as resident alien under the tax code. Read the pub to

F1 OPT。今天收到那边payroll的信。说他的收入是non qualified scholarship,
covered by China US treaty的20(b).
不过我不清楚这种情况就不需要交税吗？我记得J1前三年不交税，用20（b）是需要直
接从国内过来的J1，而不是在美国从F1转过去的。跟ld的这种情况类似吗？
读了下treaty，也没读懂。。。。。英文太烂了。有没有明白的人指点下。多谢 |

福利。但我由于还是用OPT工作，所以学校也继续给我提供保险，而我也没有cancel掉
学校提供的保险，就是为了图看病时候两个保险可以多报一点。我了解过，拥有两个保
险是合法的，但问题是我的第二个保险不是high deductible insurance。所以我看了
几遍HSA的规定，好像我对于HSA是不qualify的。现在我的HSA账户里已经有了一些钱了
，按理这部分钱我都应该上税，可我现在才发现。。。请问各位前辈，就我这种情况，
是需要向IRS说明吗，还是只需要第二年报税时候多填一份表把钱交回去即可？ |

报联邦税的时候还可以不可以claim前5000的treaty呢？之前许多人都说可以，只要这
5000是来自Opt期间的收入。我的Opt期间收入肯定超过5000了。但是我用Glacier软件
报税，填完身份历史后，直接说我不qualify这5000的treaty。因为claim和不claim
treaty差得很多，所以我想再确定一下。如果可以，是不是需要自己手填1040NR还有

我看了一下1040NR的说明，里面说可以take an exemption for each of your
dependents. 同时也说了Canada，Mexico等国家的可以按US citizen报。 但没有说其
他的国家不可以。
请问今年到底是可以为小孩报，还是不行？

上一次的2010年的F1签证被check了。然后新出台的规定 “您之前的签证在过去四年内
过期，或者仍然是当前有效的。”，我就“被”qualify代签了。
但是又规定“某些使用代传递项目的申请人将仍然需要在领事馆采集生物指纹或进行签
证面谈。。。。希望续签的签证上含有“CLEARANCE RECEIVED”字样，或。。。”，意
思是说，虽然代签了，还必须要去面谈！！（really？）
我是在上海签证，但是我家不是在上海。我在想，能不能不选择代签，直接飞到上海落
地面签，省得还得再跑一趟上海。有经验的同学能不能说一下这样可行否。
Update：刚打了签证热线，接线小姐貌似也不太懂，她就不负责任地说了一句“你可以
约，但是我们不保证签证结果”。。。

软条件：

6，能拿到3-7封推荐信，都来自学术界教授，正教授，领域内大牛，非院士级别。
硬伤：无review.

ass as best as you can here.
I got one letter from a UK professor by doing above. Once you send letter
, then you can move on to other professors. Whether you get this letter from

兴趣, 或者觉得工资低, 就说明他们已经不WILLING了. 再着, 看看他们是不是U.S.
WORKER. 这年头真正老美PHD没多少出来找工作的. 还有, 电面还可以知道他们现在还
在找工作不找, 很多时候申请人已经找到其他工作了(不AVAILABLE).
总之, 看他们是不是US WORKER, 并且ABLE, WILLING, QUALIFIED, AND AVAILABLE, 这
几个关键字.
如果都符合, 那就等几个月再接着打广告. |

足足等了半年才重新开始申请
猪头是他们组第一个中国人，其他人都是白人
他老板也不知道这个事情这么麻烦
第一次perm失败以后，和老板和律师沟通了半天
老板第二次就找各种理由把申请人都以not qualified的理由锯掉了
可惜第二次赶上公司裁员，没法提交perm，又等了半年... |

Though my priority date is May 2011, however, because my RFE was submit in
Mar 2015. I still need to wait...Not sure whether what the customer
representative said is reliable or not...It is what she said...
