，只是去法院“file”了一下，却言之凿凿“已经立案了”，最近又传出“重大转折:
据称CNN日内决定是否向华人书面道歉”。于是大家欢欣鼓舞。
我当时看了报道，人家CNN“副总裁”（注意：是一位负责国际事务的副总裁，这样的
“VP”，CNN大概有几百个吧？”）称“CNN会给海明律师事务所发来一个书面的较为友
善的答复，并同时将内容相似的书面致歉答复函也递交给中国外交部”，这两个句子里
，一个用“答复”，一个用“书面致歉答复函”，意义很不同，由于只有海明律师的中
文转述，无法得知CNN“副总裁”原文用的是什么字。据海明律师说，CNN“副总裁”也
表示“CNN对中国人民表示深深的歉意”，同样没有原文，不知转述的准确程度，但我

《束星北档案》（以下简称《束》）一书问世之前，在一部分浙江大学老校友
和治物理学史的小学术圈子里，有一个关于束星北先生的历史悬案---他究竟是否做过
爱因斯坦的研究助手？对这一问题，不管是否定或肯定，有关人等只是在有限的范围内
静悄悄地表述各自的意见，没有展开过充分的辩论，没有张扬，更没有炒作。在这悬案
内外，含着人们对束先生的尊重和对其遭遇的同情，也罩着一层层需待求解的疑惑。
悬案之缘起
笔者知有束星北先生，始于1979年他发表在《光明日报》上的那篇回忆录《在
爱因斯坦身边工作的日子里》（以下简称《爱》）。出于好奇和癖好，我保存下了这份
剪报资料。据束氏本人忆述，他于1928年5月在德国柏林大学拜访了爱因斯坦，经过一
番谈话之后，爱因斯坦决定设法聘请束星北做他的研究助手，每月给他120马克的薪水
，时间是1928年下半年至1929年上半年。《爱》文中述及他与爱氏讨论学术问题，协助
其工作，到其家中做客。
