D*****r 发帖数: 6791 | 42 Acts 19:1-22 Paul in Ephesus
1While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and
arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2and asked them, “Did you
receive the Holy Spirit whena you believed?”
They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
3So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”
“John’s baptism,” they replied.
4Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the
people to believe in the one coming after him, t... 阅读全帖 |

13We went on ahead to the ship and sailed for Assos, where we were going to
take Paul aboard. He had made this arrangement because he was going there on
foot. 14When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene
. 15The next day we set sail from there and arrived off Kios. The day after
that we crossed over to Samos, and on the following day arrived at Miletus.
16Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in ... 阅读全帖 |

nature, and how cheating our heart is when facing the righteousness of God..

I suggest Christian and non Christian listen to this song more and meditate
their own sins more, and pray for repentance, the forgiveness of God and the
forgiveness to each other... |

Religious significance
The Yazidi consider Tawûsê Melek an emanation of God and a benevolent
angel who has redeemed himself from his
fall and has become a demiurge who created the cosmos from the Cosmic egg.
After he repented, he wept for 7,000
years, his tears filling seven jars, which then quenched the fires of h... 阅读全帖 |

1You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for
at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because
you who pass judgment do the same things. 2Now we know that God’s judgment
against those who do such things is based on truth. 3So when you, a mere man
, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will
escape God’s judgment? 4Or do you show contempt for the riches of his
kindness, tol... 阅读全帖 |

D*****r 发帖数: 6791 | 49 The Relativity of Biblical Ethics
by Joe Edward Barnhart (1988)
It is an axiom among fundamentalists and evangelicals that theology is the
foundation of ethics and morality in North America culture. Without this
foundation, they fear, ethics would fragment into total relativism of
dissolve into whim, arbitrariness, and chaos. I would like to contest that
view by showing how some organized religions are parasitical to the body of
ethics and how the Bible itself exemplifies moral relativism.
