I have approved I-140 and I am filling in form I-485.
Page 4 in the I-485 instruction states, "A copy of the approval notice for
an immigrant petition that makes a visa number immediately available to you"
. I guess it refers to the I-140 approval notice (I-797) but I am not sure.
Can anyone please help? Thanks! |

发帖数: 367 | 12 听上去好象是已经开始广告了, 是吗? 那你要担心的是拿什么样的VERIFICATION OF
EMPLOYMENT来证明你有八年相关的工作经验, 其他的留给律师去处理好了.
PERM 里面细节非常繁琐, 大致上是这样:
1. PERM STRATEGY STAGE. 这阶段来确定REQUIREMENTS, 好比BS + 8. 这是最重要的步
骤, 你如果没有八年的经验一定要这时候要跟律师和老板说清楚. 看来只有你老板让步
才可以, 好比降低到BS + 5, 到一个你可以QUALIFY的年限. 如果你有MS, 让你老板是
否可以接受 MS + 6 (这个等同BS + 8).
2. PREVAILING WAGE 和广告. 这一步只有上面一步确定了才可以开始. 如果这一步已
经开始实施, 你要改变上一步, 那一切都要从新做.
不要考虑降级, 现在你已经是SENIOR了, PERM 做成更JUNIOR的职位不MAKE SENSE, 会
引起DOL注意. 可以考虑的是管理级的工作, 你是不是以后可能被提升为经理级的. 这
些你们公司的律师都应该跟你上级有沟通过, 你自己担心也没用. |

1. B+8years：问题是我们公司不愿意改变job requirement上的任何文字，i.e.我无法
放5 years post-bachelor experience 之类的描述来define 8 years experience -
他们坚持原封不动放8年
2. Master+5： 如果律师坚持5years是Master之后，我唯一的机会是加“post-
bachelor”在 5years 中to further define，正在和公司协商，这个应该比改动B+8的
可能性要大一些
3.如果我满足Master+5，而不满足B+8，我的广告是否应该是以Master+5打，而不是按B
+8打？我现在的广告打的是B+8
4. either “B+8”or “M+5”都会被audit，而降职的lower level只要求B+5，所以想
可能被audit的几率小一些吧
5. 原来唯一不可以disqualify的候选人已经找到工作，是否我可以继续做job recruitment?

It requires that I should submit copies of all I-20 documents. I have
renewed my I-20 seven times over the past few years. And I did not keep the
copies of previous I-20 documents except those for the last two years.
I contacted my University, and the office emailed me their copies.
However, they did not find the third page for a few years of my I-20.
I was wondering whether the third page of I-20 is a must. Thanks. |

律师认为填相关工作经验更flexible，不用填与现在工作要求完全一致的经验。我担心
如果不填现在工作要求的经验，我的case会不那么strong.

job requirement和form 9089上填的要一致，特别是重要指标比如学位和等价工作经验
。不然直接被拒。而且的确是越general越好，有很特别的skill要求是容易被audit。
比如有语言要求肯定被audit。写一个你特有的专业技能应该还行（要在证明信里提到
你在工作前有该技能）
把广告打出去，只收邮件不收email，发小报，没什么人投的。真有人来了也可以以其
他理由拒了。 |

ticket是court appearance required,说三周后会寄来罚单和上庭指示。我查了一下发
现IL从14年开始把超速超过26迈归类为Class B misdemeanor, 重则可能有jail time，
而且可能影响外国人的身份问题（她是H1B）。鉴于她这次是初次拿ticket,想请教一下

in our case, the initial court appearance took care of everything
if your attorney enters a not guilty plead on your behalf without striking a
deal, then no personal appearance is required
but your wife needs to show up later to settle in front of the judge I think
I don't like multiple appearances since it drags out the process but maybe
that's how is always done in that county
