but besides course management
ball striking 的难点: 球场经常碰到, 平时 range 练不道
unusual lies:
浅草 lies
深草球基本全部陷如
沙坑 lies
uneven lies (ball above/below feet, uphill/downhill) --- 这还勉强能对付， 只
要多预演几下
最难的还是 浅草, 深草 和 沙坑 (unplugged), rarely hit ball solid to normal
trajectory and distance.

(toe line aim to target)
this morning up early and went to bridges practice, got another look at
bridges. soon find out how to make course play difficult

1) disconnect green from fairway, put a bushy canyon or creek or whatever
between green and fairway
will lose ball if hit shot too fatty short or thin long. can not expect land
shots before green then roll onto green...

sure they check ID or not.
don't understand their score card tho, 9holes, how come over 6000yard?

贵在尝试， 我门业余的优势在于不用担心SCORECARD不好看丢了饭碗,

我自己来说， 好多时候打球都不用scorecard, 就是记住plus 多少就行了。 但也有不
少球友， 每次都记， 过后就扔了。如果有个简单，易用的东西， 花个一，两分钟存
起来， 是不是也不错？
还有， 我们这有tournament 的时候， 都是spreedsheet, 也是过后就扔。 |

1. 英文的有很多online scorecard, 中文的，我google 了半天， 很少。
2. 我不想做成iphone 那样的，可以在球场上用的app. 竞争不过他们。 我的目标是给
那些打完球后，想把结果存在某处的人。
3. 数据库是个问题。 没有现成的东西可以Import， 目前只能靠用户自己输入。其实
输入home course info 也就几分钟，用户真愿意用的话， 还是可以忍受的。 |

This time I decided to try something different on the par 3s. I teed off the
ball with my 17 degree 2 hybrids, it landed in the left rough, rolling onto
a residence fence. Couldn’t find a special rule on the scorecard for a
free drop and I used LW to hit the ball back toward to the tee box, and then
pitched it onto the green …
For the second, I landed the ball in the right rough and tree. It took me

changes, open fairways, large greens. Fairway condition is super, green
condition is very good too. Views and scenery is gorgeous. Really enjoyed
the round eventhough I finished with two double bogeys. : (
Excellent recommendation from ET. If I live in Austin I would play there at
least once a month.

game like that a few times. We need to give him time and let him grow.
Sooner or later, he will win a big one for sure.
Anyway, on the Saturday's game, I had 45 on the front nine, 20 putts
including 2 three putts, and 40 on the back nine, 15 putts only. Good
putting always makes my scorecards look better. LOL.

adding more details on my scorecard such as fairway, GIR, Putts and sand
save, etc.

minimize the triple bogey or worse in your game.
I am impressed by the GIR you got in the game and am assuming your long game
is very good. You have potential to break 80.

game, and if you keep playing weekly or bi-weekly like you do now, sooner or
later, your scorecards will look better for sure. I used to drive the ball
long, kind of, 235 yards plus carry, but I only played a few games yearly. I
might have good shots on certain hole in a game then, but I didn't give
myself a chance to digest what and how I did and pass it to next game.

putts vs. the "feel" approach. Meaning when you practice long putts,
actually walk-off the distance and match it with the length of your take-
away and follow through.
I hope this help and you comeback with a scorecard of 79. hahaha ; )

actually I use i7 to cover 150-160. i6 to cover 160-170. hybrid #4 to
cover
170-180. and hybrid #3 to cover 180-200.
my wood (#4) is only used for tee off, if my driver swing is not good that
day. |

呵呵，不好意思，我不知道怎么设置这项，所以这一栏的信息不准的。
第一个是用的 3 hybrid
第二个用的是 7iron, 这个洞实际上没有189那么远，我gps上面显示是169
第三个用的是 7iron |

the only issue is the phone battery power. It costs around 50% power for
each round. I have to bring the car cigarette power connector and usb cable
every time. |

and get even better score?
Also, no penalties ... you must be hitting really accurate ... or the
fairways are wide and no water hazard. |

I only tee up with 3 wood on a dog left hole. Most other holes are too long
for anything other than driver for me.
I once played with a college player who tees up with a hybrid on the 509
yard par 5 13. He said it is against the wind and not reachable in two.
His hybrid is over 230 so I guess it makes sense for him. |

yes, i would think it is a 坎儿
but depends on how you get that 坎儿.
if you are like me, 40 putts per round, 85 is almost as good as it can be.
or if you usally got few blow-up holes, say you have 2 triple + 1 double, or
2 double + 1 triple, which also prevent you get down to 85, that requires
you play almost perfectly for the other 15 holes (+5/+6 for 15 holes).
otherwise, i think 80 would be a 坎儿 instead of 85.

个Double 或 Triple Bogeys。我基本的原则是，不求有功，但求无过，意思就是，不
一定要拿Birdie，但最好不拿Double Bogeys。我的目标是Par和Bogey。我有一场球，
三四个Birdies，五六个Pars，最后的成绩是88，主要是有好几个Double和Triple
Bogeys。我成绩稍微好的几次，都是一两个Birdies，一两个Double Bogeys，没有更坏
的，没有大起大伏。 |

birdie 对我来说很不容易， 偶尔打一个。 把triple 消灭， 减少double, 就有希望
拿好成绩。
关键是这里好了， 哪里就差了。 有时候高高兴兴地眼看就要胜利结束，连着来两个
triple, 连打完球的心情都没有了。 |

At your level, the two double on the two par 5s are just silly isn't it ?
Just lay up to your favorite distance (instead of going for it in two) and
you are guaranteed no worst than a bogey even if you 3-putted. |
