大家应该都听说过环境对基因会产生诱发或抑制的作用吧。例如说科学家发现有种“害羞基因”，但如果有这个基因的孩子，他们的父母对他如果没有过分保护并带他从小去各种各样的环境，这种基因的影响就会被抑制，孩子还是可以落落大方。
我自己觉得性倾向虽然可能有基因的影响在里面，但以下几个数据让我觉得it is much more by choice rather than by birth.或者说后天的经历和环境的影响远大于先天的影响。

和twelve还有点12进制的影子的话，那么thirteen, fourteen, fifteen,
sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen根本就是非常规则的十
进制。另外你说到twenty, thirty似乎还有一点点道理,尽管傻子也能知道
thirty的前缀thir就是表示数字“三”的意思。 而且别忘了后面的forty,
fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety,也是非常规则的。
我觉得很奇怪，搞幼儿教育难道就非得纠住从一到十二这十二个数字不放么？
一个孩子从一到十这十个数字必须死记住，难道多了eleven和twelve这么俩
数字就造成了灾难性的后果？ |

能算，最多稍微慢一丁点儿。
要知道我们老中自己（不是娃娃），没有人会背过英文九九乘法表，我们居然可以心算
笔算的时候自动心理默念 three -> seven -> twenty-one，甚至 eight -> nine ->
seventy-two，然后把竖式乘法算出来。
这充分说明我们的大脑又改了 100 毫秒的因果关系，我们心里的九九乘法表，是在
implicit memory (procedural memory) 里的，而我们做竖式乘法时，就好比飞行员念
一遍起飞程序贴一样，为了保证正确率，现场按需 encoding 成 declarative memory
(语言表达的九九乘法表) 的。
大脑这 100 毫秒修改记忆，简直是玩得认知心理学家找不着北了。。。 |

Also, remember that the stagnation of seventies and Fed's action on dramatically raising the interest rate in the earlies 80es. Those are the reasons behind the peaks and troughs not the mysterious 11 years cycle. And now Fed are still sticking to its low interest rate and we still have not seen any inflation but deflation pressure.

很弱的case，一直都不敢申请，后来受到朋友的鼓励，还有那时候NG版上认识的
az MM，分享了很多他们的经历和体会，所以下决心也试一次，居然很顺利就批了，
也没有RFE什么的。看来EB1b确实相对容易些。
下面附一个140的申请材料列表，基本背景也都包括了。2007 PhD毕业之后
一直在小公司做产品，这几年都没发表文章，十分心虚。申请140全都是靠着读书
时候发的些小破文章。一作journal只有一篇，还是LNCS冒充的，二作journal
一篇(IF:2)，其余的都是些conference文章。Review只做过两次，去年发了很多
email给各种杂志要review，都不理我，可能因为我没什么journal paper吧，不能
做peer review。后来还是PhD老板给找了一个review做。结果律师还给claim了，
貌似也没什么问题。
