taurus的空间不知道为什么那么小。
另外美国车有个毛病，就是base的价格很低，随便上点option价格上去的厉害。
比如impala.上6缸的很贵了就。4缸的基本版本很shabby.
taurus也是，同样的配置不比avalon便宜了。
楼主在那个dealer拿到的avalon的价格？好低呀，我知道的最低都是28000了 |

穷死就是等死了，穷光蛋得个cancer基本也是等死，一流医院里的肿瘤病人基本没有很
shabby的。你要不信可以去查chart,又比如美国大街上经常碰到没牙齿的老黑啥的，在
中国镶不起牙的属于很少数了。
当然，中国的医疗对穷人来说也是unaccessiable,但对你们留学生来说，在中国你好歹
是人上人，拿出留学生的招牌，医生一般都会重视，就是你带个病人去一样也会比较重
视，在美国，你一印度支那来的，who cares?
美国牛的医生多了，比如NYP给克林顿做心脏手术的，但那些对你们来说，这些人最多

我见过从实验室去学校的，比如Stephen Chu,他可是 实验室－学校－实验室－政府 哦
也有学校不爽又去了实验室
各有利弊，实验室的安全问题是一个不好的事儿，还有overhead高
但是学校也有学校的问题，学校的lawyer烦死了
两个都兼着的人 就两个好处都有，两个坏处也都有，
总之，关键看你干什么，第2，跟谁干。postdoc是独立研究，我从来不拿自己的
postdoc做廉价劳动力。 |

one should. My point is that if you buy and hold a well diversified
portfolio such as a simple equity/bond mix, you don't need to time the
market and sell to profit. The returns of the lazy portfolios prove my point
. True, I don't have the data for these portfolios circa 2000. But they have
been tested during the last financial crisis. And look at their 1, 3, 5,
and 10 yr returns. not too shabby, aren't they?

万以上是肯定有的，而且老婆也都工作，结果目前只有两个买了房子，一聊才知道：
A：居然现在没有信用卡(难怪欧告诉他700M的DEAL，Y很动心也没买)，据说几年前作合同
工时，有一阵没有医疗保险，结果生病欠了几万，他也扯皮不付，结果信用完蛋，现在买
东西都是付CASH，找律师解决债务，律师劝他申请破产，熬几年重新做人。(NND，这点钱
，要老中早就想办法搞掉了，以他的收入)。现在租房，还是TWH。
B：情况好点，也是租TWH，不过信用卡债务也是一把，要命的是老婆几年前还有破产记录
。LP现在是作房子CLOSING的，估计天天看着别人买卖房子涨巨痛苦。B现在还欠着信用卡
，作DAYTRADING，整天吹某日赚了3万，可第二天又全赔了，一副曾经沧海的样子。
C：情况更好点，买了个很SHABBY的TWH，地点也很差，上下班单程2小时。
D：挣得估计最少，却还是最好的，在很远的区有一个SFH。可聊到信用卡，破口大骂CHAS
E的卡烂，说突然把他的RATE从9%涨到了20%(口气是用9%都有日子了)，不得不换到A |

drywall, and used drywall spring toggle anchor http://www.ameribestfasteners.com/SPRING.gif to fix hood onto the drywall first, and then use other provided screws to the cabinet. My cabinet feels shabby. So this also provides extra strength.

我个人不觉得 foundation 有问题。 这个 lot 非常好，是这个小区最平整的一个
lot. 其它房子，基本上后面就是陡坡。 这个后面还有至少 30米的坡度很小的平地。
地下室是水泥浇注，看里面的的木板，地板，墙壁除了照片里列出来的两个裂缝，其它
都如果有 foundation 问题，这么长时间已经早 settle 了。 除了地下室那个地方外
，墙壁没有裂缝，所有门开关正常。当然这种房子，真要买的话，肯定是要找人专门检
查房屋结构。
地下室那个地方是有漏水的问题。这个比较严重。对应漏水的位置，好像是屋顶排水管
位置。 这个家庭，屋顶排水管下来，就直接排在房子边上。我说的另外一家，是有埋
在地下的黑管接下来屋顶排下来的水，排到三四米远的地方。可能是地下室漏水的主因
之一。
水龙头卫生间都正常。plumbing 埋在 drywall里面的，目前没有迹象显示他们糟蹋到
了 drywall 这层。
楼上有一个重要信息抽大麻，很可能是对的。第一次去的那个味道，非常强烈，完全盖
