night. As usual, I reached for the iNag in my pocket. It was covered by
dust as was my hair, my face, my jacket, and ... “Shit, where are my
pants?”

I tried to run but my legs felt like lead. I walked and walked until a

发帖数: 19713 | 2 最近突然发现加勒比美食好吃得不像话啊！！因为我一直对墨西哥餐爱不起来，所以一
直以为拉丁餐都是墨西哥味儿，直到那天误入了一家委内瑞拉餐馆，典型的greasy
spoon，一家三口开的，吃了他们的rice bowl惊为天物，然后就又去了很多次，超喜欢
cachapas，然后是arepas，很惊讶于蒸窝头用的玉米面还可以做出这么好吃的东西。随
后就一发不可收拾，开始尝试各种加勒比美食－－秘鲁的Ceviche，鱼可以做得这么清
香爽口开胃，还有古巴的炸鸡，巴西的moqueca、Stroganoff，目前刚刚吃到这么多，
已经感动得我热泪盈眶，打算继续探索，等我将来发现更多好吃的再来补充。
加勒比美食还有个好处，就是巨便宜，去yelp翻翻四个星以上的greasy spoon，都是
shabby得无以复加的小家庭餐馆儿，店主都是不怎么会说英文的拉美人，但是饭菜的味
道可一点都不打折扣。。
大家分享下有什么好吃的新鲜玩艺儿？最好能写得像yve曾经发过的印度美食的那个帖
子那么全面深入就更好了，推荐的好的我给发包子～ |

现在住的地方附近有一家很shabby的尼泊尔餐馆，和印度cuisine差不多，其实他们基
本上就是卖indian cuisine。我们俩对餐馆是非常挑剔的，中餐馆基本上是吃一家毙一
家，但是这个尼泊尔餐馆从来就没让我们失望过，不管点什么。
餐馆里有个极其清瘦的尼泊尔姑娘，基本上不会说英文，干净得像珠峰上的雪莲一样（
其实我不知道珠峰上有没有雪莲），笑容和穿着总是土得有点让人怜惜，每次去我和我
老婆都忍不住多看她几眼。。 |

真"cheap", 呵呵。那shabby的纸张质量，那繁杂的广告，没有电子版，或者更
具体没有ipad 版, 没有人会坚持一个月的订阅的。
没办法，网络刊物层出不穷，纸媒还能继续生存发行已经很牛B了，想想当年
火爆风光的reader's digest (美国的读者文摘），我老时不常买菜的时候拽
一本回来立志（笑话也很精彩），现在已经关门倒闭，让人唏嘘不已。 |

一个老板说,他两个小孩子要去summer camp了,另外两个也是,虽然时间短点.而且,他老
婆要同去,作camp consultant.我说,哦,then you will live all on your own. 他说
是呀,就能多做一些事情,多和客户social.
另外一个老板就说了,i guess then there is no reason to go back home.
想想也是.像我现在,事情做完了,却没有什么动力回家.一来租的地方实在是shabby
place.二来,回去也是做一些和办公室里差不多的事情.看书,看书,上网,上网.办公室的
电脑还有两个moniters,还比较大.

La Quinta Inn. 在downtown 南面的3500 st, West Valley City

years.
It was my first visit since I left Beijing in 91. Beijing
was beyond my
recognition, almost everywhere I went I would only know the
street names. EXCEPT USTB campus.
From the moment that I set my feet on campus, I saw what I
saw 10 years ago. The main building, the Mao's Statue, only
thing new was the sculpture(sp?) in the front. Jiao Xue Lu
was as shabby as it was 10 years ago. Even those Ping Fang

发帖数: 360 | 44 就叫“火柴盒”吧。一直是在卖欧美打口磁带和打口CD。
音乐很不错，也有很alternative的。我在那里买了好
几盘带子，还带出来了三盒。那里的几个小伙计挺好玩，
老远就招呼你去看磁带，有一次我要的磁带还给我留了
好几天。后来开始卖新烤的面包，中午和晚上都有的。
那个地方非常的shabby，其实就是个随随便便搭起来的
小棚子。不过还是满可爱。
Besides, there're some special memories concerned
with this place, which I still cherish now.
教九到化工厂本来是有一条小路的，拐角很窄，一到
中午下课高峰期就堵的一塌糊涂，等挤出来赶到食堂都
不剩什么了。不知道是不是因为"traffic jam"的原因才
把这条路堵起来在边上开了条大路，火柴盒就是那个时候
关的。可是等96的从之江一过来，自行车直停到路边，
照堵不误。
都是陈年往事啦...
方舟吧，五舍对面，在原来的玉林旁边。现在那里的活动中心
好象也盖起来了的说。 |
