在做的一个课题要建个MODEL,比较几个组随时间的变化,不是仅仅比较MEAN.这种情况下,
要有INTERACTION TERM,用INTERACTION的SLOPE来表示变化.如果,没有INTERACTION
TERM,就假定它们的SLOPE是相同的.
希望,我的解释和理解是对的. |

predictor表现特别;而不是因为不同的coefficient设定才把一个predictor变成了
random effect
比如说楼主决定用income作predictor,如果一个intercept,一个slope就可以算出不错
的prediction,那么fixed effect model就搞定。需要做random effect model最简单（
但不是最常见）的情况:不同income有不同的intercepts（假定slope还都一样）。比如
0-50k intercept 1000, 50k-100k intercept 1, 100k+ intercept 10。这样的
relationship不是linear,linear model可以做但predicition不好。而用smoother也许
能提高prediction但不make sense。这时用random effect model效果最好。

Symptom: When I park the car in the down direction of a slope and start the
engine, there is always a grinding noise there, I am not sure it is from
the engine or some belt or pulley close to the engine. No engine light on
and the car runs smooth after that.
Funny thing is when I park the car in the up direction of the slope, there
is no such noise.

1. 降落用的跑道是KSFO机场的28L。
2. wikipedia说28L的IRL系统从6/11就不工作了，不能提供glide slope。
3. 有新闻说降落采用了visual approach，天气晴朗。因此，驾驶员应该采用目视和手
动控制。
4. 没有乘客报告“突然下坠”，因此排除 microburst。
5. 5年前一架777曾经在跑道前坠毁，后来查明是RR引擎热交换器故障。但这架777装配
了PT引擎，使用不同的设计，所以同样故障的可能性很小。
6. 有消息说飞行员在坠毁前20分钟就开始怀疑飞机高度计故障。
7. 飞机起落架没有（完全）收起，撞到防浪堤上，在此之前有乘客听到飞机的油门加
大了。
我判断高度计不是事故的唯一原因、甚至不是主要原因。777至少有三个气压高度计，2
个无线电高度计，2个GPS系统，相互备份，冗余度很高。当高度计度数不一致的时候，
飞机会报警，有些自动驾驶功能不会启动。飞行员的日常训练中包括对高度计有误的情
况进行处理。降落前20分钟发现了高度计错误，留给飞行员足够时间去准备应对。
