"Good" news coming from wall street at U.S. debt front. FED has to buy 50% of their own bond, does not look like they will be able to provide any lasting support to housing market. Fannie/Freddie could go belly up, if that happens, 30-50% house price cut?

payment. When prices drop, many (if not most or all) just walk, hurting
everyone else. Banks are going out of business, dragging the whole economy
down.
I think most people still do 20% down payment. House prices have dropped 15%
on average in the US. When it reaches 20%-25%, if will be another slump
because many more people will have to walk ...

大家除了开始时draft closer外，也可以在球队中保持几个认为是
potential closer的球员。
比如如果我有John Smoltz，我也许会再draft一个Roberto Hernandez保险，
万一Smoltz伤了，我不会一下子就没人close了。
另外big roster room也可以鼓励大家做长线。一时slump的球员可以暂时
放在板凳上观察而不必急着脱手。
棒球赛季非常的长，许多球员都有时hot，有时cold。有足够的roster spot
对于耐心的manager来说，是一种奖赏。 |

但是我们这个联盟毕竟不同于真实世界。
真实的世界有小联盟，我们没有。
我也不是说大家都要做bench-bench的交易，但是bench球员完全可以作为
starter-starter交易的良好补充。
roster spot的扩大导致的一个重要结果就是双方找到不冲突的利益的可能性大
很多，因此可能可以产生许多win-win trade
比如说，我和你互相trade一个starter，但是我的球员rank比你高，我觉得吃亏，
需要你送个bench给我。如果你的SS是A-rod而我的SS是Jose Valentin，那么一个对你
没有太大用处的backup SS 比如说是Alex S Gonzalez对我来说就弥足珍贵，这样
这个交易就很容易做成了。
再比如你如果out of contention，手上却有Melvin Mora或者Luis Kata这样的球员，
你知道他们明年不可能重复这样的成绩，完全就可以用他们来交易一些现在in slump
的球员。
比如如果谁手上还有Trevor Hoffman又在一个playoff berth里面，他就可以用

做trade又不是非要自己得superstar in slump时才要做得。
你也许开赛后发现整个球队不平衡，比如象我今年开始时一样，太偏重pitching
而hitting不足。
可是我很难通过trade来补强自己，因为roster spot太少，很难做出双方都
觉得even的trade，还有就是大家都没有什么extra strength拿出来trade。
为什么扩大roster spot就可以呢？其实很简单：
现在为什么大家要做FA pickup？因为replacement level太高，高到其中
最好的FA很容易就比大家最差的starter还要高，那么大家显然都很愿意去
pick FA。
如果降低replacement level，那么基本上一个队的starter的水平，即使是
最差的，也要高过replacement level，但是由于大家都有一个比较深的bench，
那么另外一个队的bench里，也许就有球员好过你最差的starter。
这时候你就可以去做个trade，补强自己。
基于同样的理由，你的bench里面，也很容易就有人比对方最差的star |
