discrete distribution in any software package?
Here is my problem: I have a vector of data, and I want to test whether it
follows a binomial distribution. In addition, I need to do it using the K-S
test.
As far as I know, K-S test works well for continuous distributions, but does
not do a good job for discrete ones. I tried R (ks.test) and Matlab (kstest

parametric，不考虑 scale，所以你数据点 1 上的显著差异在 pValue 上不能体现出
来。chi-square 则不然。
你要是懂这些话 (或者懂Kolmogorov-Smirnov test 是怎么做的，为什么是non-
parametric)，就知道选择chi square 不是 “掩耳盗铃。取最有利于自己假设的结果
”，而是完全正当的。

人宣称有士兵在演习中失踪，要求中国军队打开城门让日军搜查。遭到拒绝后日本人在
卢沟桥和中国军队发生了冲突，之后又炮击了宛平城。
其后华北地区陷落。8 月 13 日上海保卫战开始。日本情报机构警告说，在南京机
场起飞的飞机支援下，中国军队可以在几天内把上海地区的日军赶走。同日国民党航空
委员会发布了第一号作战命令。日本在该地区没有任何机场，地面部队无法得到空中支
援。携带老式 A2N 战斗机的轻型航母 Hoso 号无法和中国战斗机对抗，日本于 8 月
15 日把加贺号调到了上海外海。
在中国全境内大规模使用空军的战斗活动开始于 8 月 14 日，但是双方力量对比

政府“指导、控制并且监督”在2014年索契冬季奥运时的运动员尿液药检作假。这个耗
时两个月的调查是由专家理查德·迈凯伦率领执行，他表示自己对报告有着“决不动摇
”的信心。事件起因是，俄国国家反兴奋剂实验室的前主任罗德琴科夫宣称，他在索契
冬奥会之前在数名运动员的身上施用了违禁药物。
目前禁止俄国运动员参加今年8月5日2016巴西里约奥运的声浪已经不小，报告出炉之后
，很有可能会让声浪更加扩大。在报告发表前，以美国和加拿大为首的数十个国家的反
兴奋剂机构已经呼吁应该全面禁止俄国运动员参赛。
对于国际间呼吁禁止俄国运动员参加里约奥运，俄奥委员主委朱可夫愤怒地回应称，这
是意图不让俄国运动员参赛，是“策划周密并且先入为主”的宣传。他还表示，可能报

[简介]
本文对三重门以及其他八部知名长篇作品进行了简单统计分析。分析所用的特征为“句
逗比”，即句号和逗号的比例。分析的假设是每个作家由于习惯其所用的句逗比应该是
基本固定的，因此如果一个作品中的句逗比前后不一致，则有可能是因为前后写作风格
有差所导致（比如作品的一部分章节夹杂了很多诗歌等情况），也有可能因为作品由多
人合作导致。
[统计分析结果]
注：p-value为统计检验结果，表示检验假设成立的概率。这里检验假设是作品具有固
定的句逗比。p-value越小表示作品越有可能含有不同句逗比的成分。一般p-value小于
0.01表示结果显著（阳性），即认为统计假设不成立。

主 陶哲轩，吴宝珠，还有去年的第一个女性菲尔兹奖得主 Maryam Mirzakhani，都是
奥赛金牌。这是我知道的，我作为一个外行，也就八卦八卦这些比较有名的花边人物。
当然，为了教育你（不好意思我有点闲），我特意去查了一下近两届的菲尔兹奖得主的
竞赛背景。总共八个菲尔兹奖得主，其中有IMO获奖背景的有五个：
吴宝珠（上面提到）：两届金牌
Stanislav Smirnov：两届金牌
Artur Avila：一届金牌
Elon Lindenstrauss：一届铜牌
Maryam Mirzakhani（上面提到）：两届金牌
拿好不谢。
2. 中国的奥赛尖子大部分都是近十年的事情，都还年轻，还算不上数学界的中坚力量
，呵呵我估计也达不到你所谓的 “世界有名” 的程度吧，我举出名字你也不认识（于
是一定是我在瞎扯对吧呵呵呵呵呵）。不过你要是想了解一下他们中哪些成了很好的数
学家，我推荐你去看一下各大高校数学系的faculty页面。不谢。

I went to Independence Day Ball dance camp in Washington DC around July 4th
at the spur of the moment having nothing better to do and having to while
away the holiday. They did have a star line up with Karina Smirnov the first

本文对三重门以及其他八部知名长篇作品进行了简单统计分析。分析所用的特征为“句
逗比”，即句号和逗号的比例。分析的假设是每个作家由于习惯其所用的句逗比应该是
基本固定的，因此如果一个作品中的句逗比前后不一致，则有可能是因为前后写作风格
有差所导致（比如作品的一部分章节夹杂了很多诗歌等情况），也有可能因为作品由多
人合作导致。
[统计分析结果]
注：p-value为统计检验结果，表示检验假设成立的概率。这里检验假设是作品具有固
定的句逗比。p-value越小表示作品越有可能含有不同句逗比的成分。一般p-value小于
0.01表示结果显著（阳性），即认为统计假设不成立。
