留学美国，不是一个人的故事能够概括的，何况很多有着辛酸与成功经历的
predecessors早已对这一话题有过充分的阐述。比如，某个女博士用7年时间从某理工
科PhD转到Law School读JD，最后找到理想工作，但却失去了爱情，逝去了青春的故事
；以及某个十万男，拿着滕校学位，经历各种竞争淘汰，拿到华尔街某银行高薪工作后
，发现蛋疼，生不出孩子，老婆吵着要离婚的故事；当然，也还有某高材生，被骗回国
，拿着空头支票，后悔不已，遂跳楼自尽的故事；还有多年前发生在本校的某孤僻天才
怪男，打手枪，和自己的中国师弟，以及美国教授同归于尽的故事。
我来美国才一年半，尽管租了房，买了车，总算适应了Iowa City这个中西部小城的生
活和环境，可很多经历和想法仍还处于发展阶段，也还没有上述提到的那些曲折精彩浪

一些使自己的体会，一些是听说的，如果有错误请指出。
1。 focus后排座位没有head set.
2. cr-v的后门只能从左侧打开。不能从下面开而是从边上开，是不是有什么“深层次”
的原因我不知道。但是既然要从边上开，不是从右边而是从左边开我就不理解了。这样如
果你要往后面放一个比较大的东西的时候，右侧（人行道一测）由于被门挡住，必须要绕
到车的左侧才行。更费力不说，还危险。
3。 听说implala a/t的车没有各个档的indicator.....

Deep 一些就好了，比如研究做得特别牛的人一般都比常人能忍受solitude, 老张也属
于这种，而混迹本版的大小faculty们基本上不属于这种，如果能请教一下老张"如何"
做到这一点的就好了， 不过这可能会和他的精神信仰或世界观有关系。

对以下哪些雪场比较有兴趣. Assume大家从南加一起出发. 3-5天左右.白天滑雪,晚上大家一起做饭聚餐玩游戏.
最好是能够大家一起开车过去.当然如果希望多花些时间在滑雪上,飞过去也可以.

mammoth(相对以下雪场这个最近,但人多),可以叫上北加的朋友一起过去
Lake Taheo(去过若干次,总体还不错,但人多),可以叫上北加的朋友一起过去

Route 2 which is Old Mt Wilson Trailhead in Sierra Madre.
Its safer and easier to go up on route 1 and down route 2 because the
firebreak route is not being maintained at all, it is steep and loosely,
especially the last slope connecting the firebreak to Mt Wilson Toll Road
which is about 200 ft. You will face greater chance of injury if you go
down on route 1.

We went to upper peninsula from Oct 5-Oct 8. Foliage was on peak during
those days. Here are our expeirence:
Tahquamenon Falls State Park: Very beautiful foliages and upper & lower
falls. You can see all colors.
Pictured Rock National Lake shore: a beautiful golden world! You can drive
the unpaved road in the golden solitude forest, and walk the trails to see
