一名80歲的華裔耆老，日前在光天化日下，在位於華埠24街與史督華街（Steward St.
）的住家門前，被一名非裔男子從身後攻擊，推倒在地，老人家身上裝1000多元現金的
皮夾也被搶走。資深華裔警官表示，劫匪一般認為華人怕跟警察打交道，不喜報案和上
法庭，身上現金多，逢搶必有斬獲，食髓知味，所以常以華人為下手目標。
芝加哥第九警分局20日指出，上述受害耆老傷勢無大礙，警局再度緊急呼籲華裔民眾，
勿攜帶大筆現金出門，否則等同間接促使華裔成為搶匪的「最佳目標」，導致社區搶案
居高不下。
資深華裔警官蔡立仁表示，之前因搶劫華裔被逮的一名非裔嫌犯，曾經在警局進行筆錄
時指稱，「華人不愛上法庭，現金又多」，所以才會屢屢選擇華人作案，這名累犯坦言
