could find (9.5lb) and we spent the whole day staying home to make it.
Turkey turned out great. And gravy with mashed potato was my favorite. The
only things didn't turn out that good were the stuffing (too dry) and
butternut squash soup (too salty).We had leftovers for almost a week and I
am going to throw up if I see turkey again in next few months :(

有中国菜八角味，完全不需要伤脑筋）
不要basting、不要开烤箱，如果还找得到那集good eats，说得很清楚为什么这些传统
作法不要执行
但是关键真的是家里要有够密闭的烤箱，去年的烤箱太烂，还是不小心把鸡给烤乾了
新手也别像拼图一样有野心，里面不要塞stuffing，通常stuffing温度不够高，卫生条

eggplant可以参照西式做法。也可以做eggplant lasagna，是pot luck的常规菜。

的书若干次，都是回原地或前台找回。LD一次随手把钱包放到车顶。车开后不知甩到哪
了。包里驾照，工作证，信用卡银行卡若干，和百十元现金。结果当天下午有人打到办
公室，说捡到了，见到工作证，打到公司HR。后来LD要把现金酬谢，洋雷锋坚决不要，

受这个现实，从此到戒了stuffed animal，也好。去庆丰吃包子，还没吃到口，钱包就
给顺走了。我姐说：“回国来，你不能象在国外时一样吊儿郎当，要打起十二分的精神

早上9点就过去了，原来以为一去就要开始忙活哪，没想到他爸爸妈妈还穿着睡衣看书呢
。我们就待着聊天，我们家南瓜头做了点omlette做早餐，这个很简单。就是先切碎洋葱
，然后放鸡蛋，butter, 炒一下就完事了，吃的时候放盐和胡椒。总之不是今天的重点
啦。
那个时候，20磅超大的一个火鸡已经在烤箱里了，最早involved的是basting. 就是拿一
个塑料滴管（和医院用的那种一个原理）把烤火鸡的时候流下来的grease和 融化了的b
utter吸入吸管，然后再弄到火鸡身上。火鸡身上盖了一层豆沙布，就是咱们蒸馒头用的
那种纱布，目的是为了
防止表层肉变干。Baste以后，放回烤箱再继续烤，温度一直都是325F, 这样的程序做了
3次，火鸡总共烤5小时。火鸡最后的工作就是掏出肚子里填的stuffing, stuffing是用
面包，芹菜，蘑菇，一些调料做成的，掏出来以后就可以切火鸡了。有专门的电动的工
具，我今天是第一次看见，长见识了，呵呵。这些重活都是我们家南瓜头和他姐夫做的
，我就边上看着。
