Everyday, among 400 submissions from different clients, there
is one weird duplicated submission. I have recorded the
data insertion time in MySQL, these two records were inserted
at the same 'second'!
I tried to do the test like double click the submission button,
but i failed to reproduce the error.
Have anyone met the same kind of problem? THX |

returned. Impatient user will click the button multiple times, is there
any built-in function in spring to prevent double submissions?
The redirect after submit will prevent browser refresh double submission,
but not double click button submission problem. |

so the duplicate submission can be easily detected, but I think that is
rather unnecessary. Another common approach is to use a time counter to
internally ignore submissions during very short durations for the same
request from the same session.
Just speaking from experiences of dealing CGI and JavaScript. |

I wonder if anyone has heard any news on NSF CAREER? In particular,any news
on CAREER from CISE-CNS-NeTS (i.e., Computer and Information Sciences and
Engineering)?
My proposal was reviews early October, but I have not heard any news from PM
yet. In case the propsoal is not funded, I am planning to write another
regular proposal based on part of the ideas used in the CAREER proposal; the
regular proposal deadline is Dec. 17. I wonder if anyone may advise whether

submission, "Uso Duracell Charger/$10 Prepaid", which should be the military
rebate I submitted last week. Several days ago, I could find three
submissions there, which were two pink cookwares and one rice cookware (I
know that one of pink cookware should be $10 prepaid card which I submitted
last year). But they all disappeared. I haven't receive any of them. Does
anyone have such situation? Thanks! |

that I should add in more verification and allowing me a re-submit. Now I'm
going to re-submit, but how should I re-submit? Just submit as normal like a
new submission? There is no link to a 're-submission' on the paper status
interface.

第一轮referees' reports很好，editor的信也很friendly,只要求一些minor revision.
revision submitted之后，我和co-author（比较有名的senior professor)都很有信心。
没想到昨天收到final decision,让人大跌眼镜。
editor突然又请了第三个referee,说因为原先两个referee对我们的方向不熟。
第三个referee的reports无比的差，从literature review,到experiment design,到
methodology,到analysis,到results,全被批的体无完肤。
editor的于是给的final decision是，rejection.
但是最后他说，

到了我名下），并且我也依靠这个项目拿到了教职。作为即将入行的新人，正在准备第
一个自己的第一个proposal。本来很开心NSF会特别考虑first time submission,突然
发现因为这个继承的grant，自己字面上不qualify这个first time了。不知道大家能不
能指教这种情况下联系PO有没有希望。
