统计MS 5月毕业，同时还有一个经济PhD在读，预计1月proposal之后，春季再修9个
dissertation credit转成candidate状态。
如果希望暑假开始工作，下面哪种状态可行（或者比较好）呢：
1） 申请统计MS的OPT，然后保持经济PhD的sustaining status？
2） 如果幸运的能拿到offer，申请h1b，同时保持经济PhD的sustaining status？
3）不申请统计MS的OPT，也没有h1b，用经济PhD的CPT工作？
之所以烦恼，是因为希望能用到统计的OPT（时间有29个月），而经济的只有12个月。
但记得I20上还是写的经济PhD为主，不知道能不能申请到统计的OPT。也不知道能不能
同时有OPT和PhD sustaining的状态。

industrial countries pledged Saturday to work to calm global markets and

In determining whether the beneficiary has enjoyed "sustained" national or
international acclaim, such acclaim must be maintained.. A beneficiary may
have achieved extraordinary ability in the past but then failed to maintain
a comparable level of acclaim thereafter.
How to respond this? Anyone has this REF before?

上个星期交了EB1A+PP+DIY,我估计IO不会轻饶我，因为背景有点弱，还PP.
现在在准备REF（不会给个NOID吧？），有个问题是，IO可能会要求提供demonstrate
sustained national or international acclaim.
我的文章citation不好，不可能把citation按年度来列表。
我的方法是，在140提交后的一个多星期里面，我现在拿到了3个review,并且还有一个
是行业里面rank 1st 的杂志。
我的问题是，如果IO要求提供demonstrate sustained national or internationl
acclaim and that his or her achievements have been recognized in the alien's
field of expertise. 我能不能够拿在这短短的时间里面增加的3个review来证明?

情。
什么是可持续性发展的爱情？我的解释是，两人互相爱慕，互相宽容，互相扶持，地位
平等，一同成长。所谓男尊女卑，女尊男卑都不在这个范畴里，包括著名的张爱玲同学
所说“卑微到尘埃里，然后开出花来”的感情。
为什么提倡提倡可持续性发展的关系？我们来看看张同学的这朵尘埃之花，开的怯生生
战战兢兢，脆弱而不堪一击。即便花开时再美丽，你又何曾见到这背后的血泪？平等的
爱情应该是公开的，自由的，大方的，光明的。
两个人互相选择对方，不是一个容易的决定。要仔细观察，要互相了解，要认真揣摩，
但不是心机不是较量不是游戏。给对方时间和空间，也是给自己时间和空间，同时保留
自己的底线。如果超出自己的底线，转身离开，因为这份感情已经不存在可持续发展的
可能。

暖跟C排放的（偏生态方向），比较牛，4年时间在purdue拿到了Associate Professor
，准备今年转到ASU的School of Sustainability与School of Life Science;因为我拿
的是fellowship,所以如果我不跟他去的话可以另外在purdue找一个教授，但是其他教
授的研究方向我不是很感兴趣，而且其他教授基本都没有他牛！不知道ASU的这两个
school怎么样，出来想做学术的话会不会比在purdue有优势，因为听说ASU的
sustainability研究比较出色，所以现在很矛盾要不要跟他去ASU，请各位指教！
还有就是GF在UIUC读的crop science偏统计方向,如果跟着去ASU的话找工作会不会比较

The difference between controlled release and sustained release is that
controlled release is a perfectly zero order release; that is, the drug
releases over time irrespective of concentration. Sustained release implies
slow release of the drug over a time period. It may or may not be controlled
release.

的sde，都只是fix bug，都差不多吧？如果要选的话，有什么好坏之分么？
问的原因是因为有两个pending offer from 2 se teams，其中一个自称有少量product
component design的工作，不过我不太信. 另一个做的工作是我比较感兴趣的，不过
明确说很少有design工作，基本就是fix bug.
SE team的SDE，从dev track来说，在career path上有弊端么？比如以后换组，别人觉
得你的design经验不够？或者说比较难promote？随便问问，我自己不了解，谢谢。 |
