paper，比较看好这个方向。觉得应该是将来的发展方向。但不知道这个领域的计算问
题多不多，还是基本上等同于bioinformatics+system biology?

人都要哭了
因为其一直被做systems biology的人批评说：不知道这个system的时候 你怎么能合成
它呢？ 现在居然被说成是 bioinfo + systems biology 他们得多崩溃啊 哈哈哈
anyway, 做systems biology的人也经常被做分子生物学的人说搞半天omics 和
modelling 有什么用啊，一点实际作用都没有。。。
所以说不止文人相轻，科学工作者也相轻 |

系统了？？？ 还是说就不用学一学生
物和物理了？
难道他是计算数学出身就该 整天摆弄toy model fit data 做一堆optimisations 和
predictions
你不管是啥背景的 你想做合成生物学 至少生物学的基础知识和问题就要了
解吧 难道生物学里的理论知识
就不用去学习了？？
那你告诉我，你说针对性的数学都是什么，假如你知道用什么数学去解决特定的问题，
我觉得那就不会成为问题。。。
另外，不管是 systems biology 和 synthetic biology 跟 biology 没有区别，只不
过是生物学研究到达瓶颈后 自然提出来
的概念 （既然是瓶颈必然需要很多其他学科的知识和工具来试图解决问题）
各种领域的人都试过很多方法，就像你列举的那些 Matrix PDE Boolean network

.. you don't need to elaborate it
my study is not to use synthetic biology to suppress noise but to try to
figure out why it is there, and how dose it function I have
been in Johan Paulsson's class once. i still remember the words he said that (not
exactly but with same meaning)
even with such limits on suppressing noise, the specificity and robustness
does exist and behave quite in
order.

发帖数: 46 | 11 我觉得主要就是靠提高了产量。他们的发酵产量已经达到25g/L和很多非常便宜的
抗生素都高了，而且也基本解决了后续的化学催化问题，路径简单、产率较高、操作简
便，可以说清除了大规模商业化生产的大部分障碍。
青蒿素的故事讲了这么多年，到这里可以基本划一个句号了。能发natuer我觉得主
要是因为这个是Synthetic biology第一个真正应用的例子，未来几十年人们提到合成
生物学，这篇文章肯定是有一席之地的，从这个历史的角度讲，发表在natuer上面名至
实归。 |

题来选择系统。如果仅仅是依靠已知的工程原理来应用到不同系统，远远不如依靠

E.coli的基因表达在小范围的控制上，通过这几年的发展，在我看来基本已经比较完善
了（我正在写的一篇也是和这个有关的，在小修那篇文章就是用这个方法的一个实现）
，如果涉及多个基因更精确的控制，那是非常繁杂的一个工作，（可以验证复杂性和其
中存在的各种问题，但我没有思路去解决，这也是e.coli中synthetic biology的一个
限制）。
所以个人希望在更复杂系统中，尝试发展工具和方法。 |

biology差很远，非常传统的遗传实验室，有mm也拿到offer了，最后没有选他而已，也
没有大文章，不过很productive。另外boston申博后跟申grad school似的，很多要
propose project套瓷的，还是要多花心思，竞争比较激烈，比西岸还有东岸其他地方
气氛还是有些不同。 |
