Country从 Taiwan 改成 China， 说Taiwan不是一个国家，要写成 China
我简直无语了。。。当初填宝出生证的时候根本没想到这个，而且爸爸在美国的所有文
件上的出生地都是Taiwan, 他自己的出生证明上也确实写的是Taipei, Taiwan
是，我跟孩儿他爸都没有否认Taiwan是China的一部分，可领馆的人非要改
我去网上查了，Amending birth certificate的processing time是四个月。。。这效
率。。。年底带宝回国根本来不及
大家说说，能怎么办呢？ |

未加註TAIWAN 愛爾蘭免簽舊照碰璧
外交部歐洲司副司長李光章表示，近日有國人全家自英國赴愛爾蘭旅遊，原以為免簽待
遇可順利通行，其中卻有成員持舊版未加註「TAIWAN」的護照，遭航空公司櫃台人員拒
絕辦理登機事宜，呼籲國人儘速辦理新版晶片護照，以免敗興而歸。
李光章指出，自去年7月1日起愛爾蘭給予我國免簽證待遇以來，駐處多次接獲國人持舊
版封面未加註「TAIWAN」的護照而導致登機受阻事件，至少有10起類似個案。
李光章說，駐處雖然多次通知「愛爾蘭司法部移民暨歸化署」與「愛爾蘭移民警察局」
等單位，將所有有效護照種類周知相關單位與航空公司，但有些歐陸小型航空公司為節
省人力成本，機場人員雇用臨時工，更迭頻繁，在不了解「Republic of China」即為
「TAIWAN」的情況下，國人登機極易遭拒，即使各駐外館處立即派員協助，旅客仍然錯
過班機，讓行程不得不延宕、甚至取消。
李光章呼籲，國人應提早更換新版加註「TAIWAN」的晶片護照，以避免類似情形一再發 |

China’s 11.9 percent expansion." Compared with Japan's Japan's 4.9% and
America's 3.2%. All figures are annualized rate. However, Taiwan's and China
's are year-on-year whereas Japan's and America's are quarter-on-quarter.

And I know little about China then and now. So I am unable to make a
comparison or juxtaposition.
YOu missed my sentnece in the previous posting that said, "In fact,
nothing--no literature, history, music, and so on--crossed the Taiwan
Strait to Taiwan, from establishment of Republic of China in 1912 (exceptfor
a few exceptions such as 胡适, who moved to Taiwan anyway). Pay heed to
1912, which was not 1949.

is the London counterpart of Wall Street Journal.
Separately, defense minister of Taiwan said that while immediately notifying
US of a mistake, it (Taiwan) did not notify US those were nuclear bomb

It is well known that Taiwan has had no asylum law. Everybody knows.
KMT has controlled Taiwan Legislature since before the party retreated in
1949. If you are upset why Legislature has not passed the law, blame KMT.
Still every now and then Chinese just arrive at the door and ask for help.

Not to mention Taiwan's indigenious land-to-land cruise missiles, Taiwan
will have 500 missiles specifically against China's missiles, early next
years. Taiwan now has Standard-2 (ST-2) and Patriot 2 missiles. Two weeks
ago, US sold more than 300 Patriot 3 missiles. China has about 1,200
missiles aiming at Taiwan. |
