Guess I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around this "problem".
I went through grades 1 - 12 in Texas, graduated HS in 1965. HS biology
class was one of my favorites. I remember learning about Darwin's theories &
evolution even back then, although genetics was what truly captured my
attention. My absolute favorite class was Ancient World History, and we
certainly were not taught the world was only 2000 years old. This is when my

Why Is the Trinity An Essential Christian Doctrine?
I recently received an email question from a listener who
wrote: “I have studied quite a few different translations of the bible and
have full faith in what it says. I also believe that Jesus is my savior, and
do my best to live by what He taught. However, I am not a Christian

Why Doesn’t God Answer All My Prayers?
You don’t have to be a Christian long to recognize you don’t always get
what you pray for. Why doesn’t God seem to answer all our prayers? Is it
because we aren’t praying properly, or have we simply failed to recognize
God’s answer? Our ideas about prayer and God’s ideas about prayer are
sometimes very different. Look at Jesus’ model supplication in the Gospel
of Luke:
Luke 11:2-4
And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name.

The crack of the bat. The thrill of rounding bases. The satisfaction of
sliding into home on a cloud of dust—Billy Graham loved it all. As a young
man, he dreamed that his passion for baseball would lead him to the major
leagues: “I often pictured myself hitting a big-league grand slam into the
stadium seats and hearing the crowd roar with thunder as I ran the bases,”
he writes in Nearing Home: Life, Faith and Finishing Well.
But God had a different game plan for the teen-aged Graham. After givi...

B. the appearances and ascension of Jesus 16:9-20
Many modern interpreters believe Mark ended his Gospel with verse 8. This
seems unlikely to some others since if he did he ended it with an example of
disciples too fearful and amazed to bear witness to the resurrected Jesus.
Throughout this Gospel we have noted many unique features that appeal to
disciples to serve God by bearing bold witness to Jesus, even in spite of
persecution and suffering. They believe the women’s example wou...
