能学新技术是好事
,面试的时候就说:给三个月的试用期,若不满意,就得走人.课题有一大部分是这个老板
的.用的技术我以前许多是没做过的,也没用过小鼠.所以现在不知道要不要接受这个
offer?去吧,觉得压力很大;若不去,找工作半年了,还没有别的interview和offer.我以
前作过短期的technician,后来有几年的gap.请给些建议. |

给多少钱啊

今年夏天毕业，刚从thesis里面抽出点身来找工作，想作technician 或者specialist
的工作
本着实事求是的态度在这里老老实实的写写自己会的技术
现在经常做的有 western, GFP-fusion protein expression in mammalian cells,
flow cytometry of TUNEL assay, enzyme assay （proteasom, HDAC，cell
proliferation), cell and small animal handling
近年用到但不是很经常做的有 realtime, PCR array, IFHC, ELISA, coomassie blue
staining, genotyping
曾经完全掌握一天之内捡起来的有 plasmid construction, IP

不知道大家的实验室有没有招technician的计划，我今年没有申请到学校，希望下半年
继续申请，但是计划接下来一年在国外找个tech的岗位。至于为什么是国外，其实有拿
到一个欧洲的offer，但是想努力去美国，去不成的话，只能从了他。不想再在国内耗
一年，为去美国做一下最后的挣扎。
清华本硕，研究方向为干细胞，miRNA和组织工程。女。一篇共一作（7.9），另一篇共
一正在补实验中。
我的希望是干细胞或者miRNA方向的，其他的要是不嫌弃我无相关经历我也很欢迎，另
外也有微生物的代谢工程改造相关经历。可以从7月份做到明年开学。我也不排斥以第
二年做该老师的phd学生为代价。地点随意，因为男友也正要换地方。

。来美国博士后5年了，找不到faculty位置。老板对我很不好，我帮老板做实验，今年
又拿了1.5million funding，在实验室只剩下2个人的情况下，把我的title从博士后下
降为technician，这样就可以不给我涨工资了，（因为NIH博士后工资有底线），到现
在税后不到3万美金，请大家给个建议，读护士好呢？还是医生助理好呢？
考board还行吗？老板知道我拖家带口的，move不容易，往死里欺负我，总算坚持到485
了！
已经40多了，折腾不起了。 |

而且，我认为护士的工作环境还是挺恶劣的，不仅工作辛苦，跟各种低级别的同事，
各种族裔的人，各种病人，各种上下工作人员打交道，很不容易的。护士很多工作是
at will, manager随便 fire 人的， 病人很容易就 complain, 然后manager 很容易就
抓住辫子整你。
护士里面一大堆美国各种族裔的大妈小姑娘极品，这些人拉帮结派的，作为华裔， 其
实很难混进他们的圈子。如果混不进， 他们拉帮结派地在你的工作中给你穿小鞋。
我看你还是好好地注意身体，混日子地做这个 technician 的工作，拿到绿卡，再慢慢
找别的工作。 年纪大了，折腾不起了。

Technician，被Train了近3年。那个千老用这个伪造的CV堂而皇之地找到了美国AP工作。
有些千老为了找一份体面的工作真是毫无道德底线，无所不用其极：伪造实验数据，伪
造简历，剽窃他人成果，抄袭他人文章，舔屁股。。。 |

technician的工作。老婆复旦遗传工程硕士毕业，在University of California做了8
年的staff research associate和lab manager。大多数分子生物学，组织学和形态学
工作都可以胜任。我们有绿卡，因此大学，研究所，医院和公司的机会，我们都想试试。

发帖数: 1727 | 30 差一点就转了。男人么，为了家，能屈能伸的魄力还是要有的。：）。
这么几点你要把握：1。如果job description里明说了是给非Ph.D.的，不能让你雇主
知道你有ph.D. title.因为雇主在明确知道你有Ph.D.title的情况下付你master工资，
会有麻烦。所以，雇主只能选择不要你。2。推荐人这边一定要打好招呼。我当年这么
干的时候，老板明确说了，他只写推荐信和接受email，千万不能电话。他怕说漏嘴，
也怕人家明确问我有没有Ph.D.title(很多resume里的东西人家是看得出来的，就怕对
方认真。）。推荐信老板愿意用Mr.来解决。所以，和推荐人关系好，能让他/她走模糊
路线，但决不可以让人家替你撒慌。
我当年内线还建议我，interview时被直接问到这个问题，就说中国拿的博士，以为就
算master.但所有interview时，没人直接问。但毫无疑问，有人看出来了，间接提醒作
technician会很boring的。老板也明确说，你的资历和能力远比我要求的高，今后在这
