Third Tithe
Directly following the instruction concerning second tithe is the
command for third tithe. "At the end of every third year you shall bring out
the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates" (
Deuteronomy 14:28). This tithe is also not given to the Levites to do the
work, but stored "within your gates." Nor is it to be set aside yearly to
keep the Feasts, for this tithe is set aside "every third year." |

Included here is the command to "truly [fully] tithe all the increase of
your grain that the field produces year by year" (verse 22). This is the
tithe we are to save for ourselves for use during God's Feasts throughout
the year, not the same tithe that was given to the Levites. |

given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in
return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of
meeting" (verse 21). Tithes were given to Levi to do the work of God: to
cover living expenses, equipment, upkeep of the tabernacle and its
accouterments, etc. Today, our first tithe goes to church headquarters to do
the same thing—to do God's work. |

分类。在奥格斯堡宣言里，第4章，第7段，说：‘在讨论中，凡在圣经出现的十诫，我
们都赋予律法的地位。至于礼仪和司法，我们现今不提了。’”
路德在别处说：“至于摩西的其它规条，那些不在良心里的，外邦信徒并不持守。至于
十一奉献等类的美好规条，（虽然我很向往），也与外邦信徒无关。其它的律例并不约
束我，除了与良心印证的律例，这是我从摩西律法中第一要看的。”（讲章1525-8-27
）
罗马书和加拉太书，对路德的影响非常深刻。而且，路德认为，基督徒的责任是把教会
“归正”；而归正社会的责任，只属于君王和诸侯。所以，基督徒无需持守旧约的司法
规条；只需要遵守摩西的道德律例

玛拉基书3:8
人岂可夺取神之物呢？你们竟夺取我的供物，你们却说，我们在何事上夺取你的供物呢
？就是你们在当纳的十分之一，和当献的供物上。
2。摩西时代古以色列人能保留多少比例的收入？
其实当时的古代以色列人要交两个十一奉献， 第一个给利未人(民数记 18:21)，
第二个在1，2，4，5，年在朝觐时一起吃掉， 在3，6年分给当地的
利未人和寄居的，与孤儿寡妇。（第7年是安息年.)(申命记 14:23,申命记 26:12) 如
果不算其他要求（如初熟果实，头生牲畜 。。。），
自己保留的收入大概是（1－0。1）×（1－0。1）＝81％
其中第二个十一奉献自己也一起吃的。

Actually in the reality i think poeple who can do tithe is already among the
top 20% in a church. Otherwise the pastor should not have messages
encouraging poeple to do tithe. Those who offer more than tithe may be top 5
%.
my previous church once showed a slide about offering. Approximately the top
5% people gave maybe 20%-30% (or even more, i cannot remember) of the total

i only get <40% cash after tax, 401K, stock, etc every month. so the church means i should live on <30% of my salary to make a living? To be realistic, i dont think this makes any sense.
