在UPLOADING但是GPS中就是现实不出来，手头上有一个IMG2GPS，但是进到目录里面看
太多IMG文件，也不知道上传哪个才是自己需要的，大家一定有办法，能告诉我吗？ |

reasonabley upto date map, but my gps (76CS) can't display Chinese character
. Then installed a smaller map (34 province one?)，it displays PinYin fine.
Neither is topo, though. |

到达Las Vegas，白菜和饼干筒来机场接。一年多没见，真是亲切啊。qun晚些时候到。
晚上很兴奋，我和qun都没怎么睡好。
Day 1 Nov 26
早上4:50am起床，去麦当劳吃早饭，进Red Rocks。大家太兴奋了不停地聊天，斗大的
路标居然没看到绕了两圈才找到Pine Creek Canyon。第一天Cat in the Hat, 6 pitch
5.6。本来觉得弄个简单的热身，很快就能爬完。
Approach 45分钟，还算好找。前面有两队人，等了20分钟才开始爬。我lead。后来被
狂批评，干吗放那么多pro，居然放了9个。最后第一个pitch据白菜说从我离开地面到
我开始lead第二个pitch一共花了1小时15分钟-___-!汗。本来可以link前两个pitch，
结果因为sling只剩下一个了没敢link，折腾半天第二个pitch我只放了一个pro就上去
了。pitch 3和4是qun lead的。pitch 5是个traverse，很短很简单，但因为起步的时
候完全看不到后面是什么，还挺好玩的。Topo上说50ft，我太土，还纳闷怎么 |

很全面清晰。每条路线起始的照片都有。我们爬的cat in the Hat，新的guidebook已
经直接p1和p2 link起来了，然后P5我们当时还在说这个怎么可能5.5，明明只有5.3，
结果新版guidebook就说这是5.3
supertopo Red Rocks也太烂了，路线又少还信息不全面。害得我们到处乱转。 |

可以試試透過一個外接且有插獨立變壓器的USB hub試試

printed quads are a bit too big for most trips, and for some trips you need to
bring 2, maybe 4.
If you don't want to buy Topo! software, what I do is to download all quads
from USGS and seam them myself. |

the software is you can position the area the way you want instead of going
by the quad boundaries, which is sometimes inconvenient. Major peaks such as
Hood and Rainier are sometimes divided right in the middle. That's too
annoying.
Do you have a HUGE map that is the quads seamed all together? Care to share?

发帖数: 2636 | 39 Day 3是snake dike。我居然完全没有拍照，估计是大风吹得冷的。Qun拍了很多照片。
等她上吧。回来以后觉得这一天的climb对我们两个来说都是一个突破。虽然是5.7的路
线，但snake dike的每一个pitch都让你不敢掉以轻心。
Crux不是三个runout pitch。实际上runout的部分是我们觉得最fun的部分，我们爬得
都搞不清楚我们在第几个pitch了，胡乱爬下来居然跟topo上爬得一样。呵呵
第一和第三个pitch的friction slab还是比较serious的，都很runout。第一个pitch的
friction很滑，如果掉的话是个30 ft pendulum，我们前面六个人无论leader还是
follower无一幸免。还好buzzy的无敌friction slab奠定了我的信心。第三个pitch
buzzy上的时候走的还是一个5.8的variation，还run out。据buzzy说我一边lead一边
骂娘，骂了一路。我自己居然一点都不知道。
如果说beta，那么无论leader还是follower，都需要solid on 5.8 slab |

很久没碰过sports了。周末都到RRG去爬trad，平时就在gym里的crack上面跑laps。在
Yosemite一周把我计划要爬的路线都爬了，很累很满足。觉得计划一件让自己激动的事
情，然后一步一步完成，真是特别美好的一件事情。

发帖数: 379 | 49 最早说的是去爬Long，中间变过一次计划，出发前两天又临时决定去爬Groat，只因
leader突然看到了NWHiker上有人贴的TR和片子，被种草了… 开始两次还很认真地找
report和地图研究，最后也懒得看了，谁知道还会不会再换地方。Groat Mountain只是
一个小山头，离它最近的major peak是5 miles之遥的twin sisters。星期六早上6点半
在Ash way P&R集合，话说我已经有年头没这么早起过床了… 往北开的路上不仅看到了
日出、还看见了月落。大概因为月亮位置已然很低，车子左侧的月亮圆盘看着不仅大，
而且极为清晰、明亮。天也很好，开出没多远就能很清楚地看到Baker了。
Groat Mountain西边不到2 miles的地方是Stewart Peak。夏天，沿着盘山公路可以一
直开到离4200 ft高的Stewart山顶很近的地方。我们三辆4WD塞了12个人尽量往上开，
最后停在了2400 ft高的一个公路转角处。再往上很快道路就完全的被积雪覆盖了，这
是最后一个方便停车的地方。我们计划的路线是沿着公路走到3520 ft高的“丫”字形
