否则用UHAUL，即使只是拉一次SOFA，也得六七十块。
1。什么车能TOW。
COMPACT的车不能：比如CIVIC，COROLLA，TEMPLE等等。
MIDSIZE能：比如ACCORD，CAMRY（怎么看着象拼错了？）等。
最决定的是看MANUAL。到最后的INDEX页找TOWING，看看怎么说就行了。

哪位明白的请给详细讲讲，包子伺候。
光看max GCVW， crew cab的F-150和RAM 1500大概都在15,000磅左右。
撇开axle ratio和wheelbase不说，实际的towing capability跟curb weight,
passenger体重，payload的重量有关系。
max GCVW减掉curb weight, passenger weight和payload，实际也只能tow 9000-10000
磅。
travel trailer RV一般差不多的都要9000磅以上的towing能力。如此看来F-150和RAM
1500勉勉强强才能tow这种RV。这样是不是得上F-250或者RAM 2500了？
真诚求建议，有说错的地方请大家纠正。

In towing company, found my front bumper was scrached.
Didn't sign the towing report, as it claimed those scratches were there
before towing. They just gave me a complain phone number to call, but nobody
answer.

their towing company everyday.
at Chicago, what i heard is even it's towing company's fault, they still
charge you parking fee, and "kindly" waive your towing fee.
of course if your car get bumped while towing, they're not responsible. |

整理完东西出来时，发现拖车公司正准备把我的车拖走。拖车师傅对我说要pay 300多
美元，态度很恶劣。我觉得自己又不是一直把车停在这里，何况我还留了我的电话在车
的dash board上，自己有点怨，这分明就是敲诈。
于是我打了电话叫警察，警察过了2个小时来，说我必须要pay towing company否则他
们就要监督towing coampny吧我的车拖车。
towing company的人说整个过程花了3个小时，每个小时200块钱，所以要600+tax
我用信用卡支付了，但是觉得好冤啊。。。
有没有办法能够要回一部分钱？
多谢各位

经查，Summit Central 有两个 carpet，lower carpet 与 upper carpet，但没有所谓
的 “surface tow"，你这个名词是哪里看到的？我所看过所有的 tow，不管是手抓的
还是放屁股底下的，都不会在地面上；而在地面上的只有像输送带的 carpet。
我相信你说的那东西应该就是 magic carpet，站上去就好了。
（Summit West 有一个 tow，叫做 rope tow，是用手抓的那种。But like I said, it
hasn't been open for years.） |

metro。我来美多年大部分时间是学生。$125当然不是小数字，我也搞个明白。我因为从没有被tow过车，而且tow车的人根本不解释就是让我交钱，我来这里问大家的。有人告诉我要赶紧
去拿，我晚上就去了。
至于sign不sign的，我是没有看清楚，我说了那里parking指示不清楚。楼上有人说的
对，以后去这些市区中心的地方提前把parking打听好，我以后会小心的。
至于这个地方的towing company，我觉得就是在那里蹲点的。因为不是我一个人，是经
常有来immigration办事的车误停在这里被拖。

The tow company was just doing the business for the parking property owner
on contract according to law.
Here is the logic:
1. You illegally park on other people's property.
2. The property owner authorizes a company to watch out the violator.
3. The company does the towing and charge you for a fee according to
law.

service。不过这都是一伙的。哪里有投诉tow company的地方？
看了收据上拖车的时间，从我停车到拖走45分钟。银行的人说经常有人在这里转，看见停的车就拖走。可那是close的builder，停车场上空荡荡的，要不我以为是政府大楼。那一大片是business zone，早上外面就没几个人影。这tow的人看来就在附近蹲点。人家说我是想free parking，I know what do you want to do. I see a lot. 我要free parking还不如停银行门口呢。去拿车，值班的人就是拿钱来，否则干脆不理我。今天气死了。 |

I was going to the government builder. Usually there will be a lot of space around the government builder, always look like empty. The towing is just so fast, in 45 minutes.

但两辆车均被towed. 我的车左前方到车门的地方被撞毁，车胎也被撞掉。想直接将其
totaled 掉给towing company. 但是不知道有没有其他的方法可以将车以零件形式整体

有谁有过类似的的经验么？
还有，发生此类车祸后，除了保险公司处理赔偿的事情，还有什么其他要主意的事情么

Apartment的Parking lot.
中间给他寄车的Title，找车钥匙耽误了些时间,结果他二月初到Parking
lot去看，车已经被拖走。
只好另外请师弟去查，车已于02/1被原房东联系Towing Company拖走。
收到账单 250 for towing，300 for storage 15 per day，
25 administration fee，10 tax， total is 585 dollars
车是现代 Elantra 1998，车后被撞过加上发动机已坏，已经根本不值这个钱。
现在问题是如果干脆不付，对于信用卡记录，将来再入境美国，或者保持自己美国
的driving License 有啥影响没？ |

没错，你说的与我说的是同一个东西。地图上有那玩意儿，但在 lift 有没有开的网页
上，根本没有将之列入，所以这也就是我说的：那东西恐怕已经废弃了。

前面 webcam 照片里红圈就是 magic carpet 无误。以坡度而言，Summit Central 魔
术地毯那里的坡度很缓很缓；但旁边的 surface tow 那里的坡度比较大比较好（不过
那段路人很多，都是去 central express 路过的人），只不过它没开，难怪你一直说

一百收三块的手续费。就看这拖车不停的进进出出，半小时内看到拖了五辆车回来，他
们可是24小时工作的，这一天的利润可想而知，绝对的无本万利阿 |
