lineage tracing是看的homeostasis, transplantation看的更类似于injury repair.
这两种过程里干细胞的来源，potential可以很不一致。相比下，lineage tracing研究
的更接近生理过程，后者更具有实际应用价值。
transplantation后的重建曾经是很多干细胞研究的金标准。但具有transplnation 后
重建组织功能的细胞却有可能对homeostasis没有contibution. 一个例子是nestin+
MSC. transplantation实验说它们能能在transplantation后成骨，但正常homeostasis
过程里其对骨的contribution很少。另外一个例子是NG2+ MSc,也是一样。在正常生理
条件下他们只参与pericyte turnover,对mesenchymal tissue没啥贡献，但一旦有损伤

Even if trace inequality is satisfied, the matrix inequality may still fail
to hold.
E.g., max trace element <= max eigenvalue, but not vice versa. If the x's
are not bounded, then the diagonal linear equations should be parallel with
a & b. Still need more conditions to figure out the rest. |

现在有一个说法：用high resolution ICP/MS 分析一个不知产地农产品样本的 trace
metal，并用一个已知产地的同样农产品样本的 trace metal profile 作标准。如果
未知产地农产品样本的分析结果 match 已知产地农产品样本的标准达99%，用
multivariate discriminant statistical analysis，可不可以说未知产地农产品样本
来自于作为标准的已知产地。
如果，这个说法不严谨的话，有哪些假设：（1）有第三个地方的 trace metal
profile 也可能 match 未知样本的检验结果；（2）未知产地农产品样本受到污染（生
长过程，运输过程等等）；其它的我就想不到了。 |

男性的y染色体的非等位部分是没有mutation的，所以祖先的信息直接可以pass下来。
虽然没有mutation，但是会有突变，大约每几十代发生一次。这样就可以用这些特殊的
突变点trace人类的迁移踪迹。实际上成功迁徙出非洲那支San人当时的population非常
少（因为冰川，死的都差不多了），所以带出来的y基因基本上是单一一种的，然后可
以可以利用在各个地方settle的人的y基因的突变标识trace整个人类的迁徙过程。
对于女性来讲，线粒体dna也是没有mutation的（但会发生突变），所以母系的宗族信
息（突变标记）可以通过女性一直pass下来。 |

Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Two of these weapons were traced
