A couple of guys are begging GM to add faster L2 charging (6.6kWh) support
in Volt 2.0 on the gm-volt forum [1]. It is not clear if GM is going to do
it (or has done it) or not, because fast charging is somewhat contradict
with the EREV concept and the positioning of the car. Volt 1.0 supports max
3.3kWh with L2, which fills the battery in 3.5 hours.
on the other hand, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has a 12kwh battery, and comes
with L3 DC charging!

l*****6 发帖数: 7881 | 3 之前为了对比,特意试驾了prius plugin,感觉照volt差不少。volt的操控性能出奇的
好,急转弯侧倾很小,方向盘也不像prius那么轻,指向比较精准。volt纯用电池能开
50多迈,prius只能开20迈。也看了volt第一代,感觉二代有蛮大的提高,基本上弥补
了一代所有的缺点。最大的遗憾就是后排只能坐两人,还有后排头部空间太小,我坐后
排头顶在车顶了。个子矮点的话应该没啥问题。腿部空间还不错。
这是我第一次买美国车,感觉比我想象的要好很多。虽然内饰硬塑料比较多,但是装配
质量还不错。这车还带两次免费保养。lease期间基本上不用花啥保养费了。我算了算
,开这车我家每月能省300油费,正好跟月付抵消了,哈哈,还不错。 |

Model S 和 Volt 有不同的是,Model S 如果在充电中断电,要先用 Remote 结束充电
才能拔出插头,Volt 则是可以直接拔。这点上 Volt 似乎更方便一点。而且 Volt 车
门上直接有一个打开 Charge door 的按钮,Model S 则是需要用屏幕上的按钮或者
Remote。 不过如果使用的是 Tesla 专用的 Charger, Charger 上面有一个打开
Charge door 的按钮。 |

5. 1.4L 引擎并非直接输出动力,而主要是用来给驱动的电池充电, 电动车的扭矩对比
汽油车有先天优势。动力感没有问题。
我跑过100多的长途,没有感觉动力有什么下降的问题
6. Sport mode 肯定会减少 Range. 但如果你的目标历程就在30mile以下,也没什么好
担心的。开起来的爽快感还是提高不少的。 |

我有6个同事买或租了VOLT 。VOLT的小毛病还不少的,steering, suspension, charge
是最会出问题的地方。同事里面没修过的车的是不存在的, 一位的suspension修了好
几次,最后按照lemon法给退了 ,换了LEAF。 |

it is not a fair comparison. volt and prius belongs to different generations
of technologies, volt is way more advanced.
after the tax incentives, a volt can actually cost less. even it costs 1-2k
more at purchase, don't forget it saves ~$1k in gas per year if you do short
commute. plus, it has less moving parts compared to that of a gas-engine
car, the maintenance cost is expected to be only 1/5 to 1/4; as a result,
the drivetrain can last much longer. |

from truecar, a fully loaded c-max energi 2014 has an MSRP of $37540, a
fully loaded volt has an MSRP of $40650, the difference is $3110. but in MA,
volt has a tax credit of $10000 ($7500+$2500), but c-max energi tax break
is only $5507 ($4007+$1500), this makes volt >$1000 cheaper. both
manufactures offer additional incentives which are not counted here. |

时有carpool sticker uncertainty. prius 12 miles肯定是问题。不过这个取决于自
己上班的距离。如果在10miles以内,还有充电的地方,问题也不大。
我不是说volt不好。但volt有自己的hard limitation:空间太小。大家说了很多volt
的好,好像是对这个觉得无所谓?我是觉得不适合家庭用。
其他还有cmax/fusion plugin,也是各有优缺点。
所以买什么,完全是个人决定。 |

1. 40 miles vs 12 miles。
2. prius的12 miles其实不是什么时候都能用:速度超过62mph, 就不行;加速比较猛
,也不行;启动时,也可能不行;用空调,也可能不行。但volt只要在range内,应该
都可以用吧。
3. volt操控比prius好,prius比起来更肉一些。
价钱也差不多。但空间太小会让一批人直接pass。 |

features, GM had invested so many R&D hours and testing in this car. it was
widely believed that GM loses money for selling every gen 1 volt.
I switched to the "sport" mode the other day and got wowed for the
acceleration. try it when you get yours. I am sure you will be impressed. |

cmax的好处在于便宜,但是插电版,续航里程只有volt的一半

>90% of the case, you will likely be driving all by yourself. the difference
is rather in the rear seat, or specifically, the 5th seat when you take
passengers.
if you need to haul 5 adults from time to time, or have tall passengers, you
may consider a larger interior. otherwise, the space in the volt is pretty
decent. the only way to find out is to set up a test drive.
I have been driving my family around with my gen2 volt. my son's car seat

you only get a portion of the incentives.
if you browse the gm-volt forum, you will be surprised how many owners have
made the plan to keep their cars for long term (>8 years); the strong
confidence was built upon the much slower wear and tear of the gas engine. a
volt is believed to out last most ICE cars on the market.
200+ mile BEV can not replace a long-range PHEV like a volt, unless one can
recharge the battery within 5 min. |

a regular hybrid car (i.e. parallel hybrid) like a Prius in that it has a
large capacity battery.
