There's a man going around taking names
And he decides who to free and who to blame
Everybody won't be treated all the same
There'll be a golden ladder reaching down
When the Man comes around
The hairs on your arm will stand up
At the terror in each sip and in each sup
Will you partake of that last offered cup?
Or disappear into the potter's ground
When the Man comes around
Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singing

The concept of a burning Hell where people are tortured eternally, is often

来自主题: TrustInJesus版 - Why does Isaiah 45:7 say that God created evil?
The problem of evil has vexed Christian theologians for nearly two millennia
, burdening them with the impossible task of explaining how so much evil and
suffering could exist in a cosmos overseen by an omnipotent, omniscient,
and perfectly good deity。
The translators of many modern Bible editions, aware of the unsettling
implications this verse holds for their faith, have attempted to soften the
blow by translating it in a more palatable way. The New International
Version, for example, has this...

Ezekiel 33:11
11Say to them, As I live, declares the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the
death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn
back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?

25 Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,

Prov. 3:25–26 These verses encourage those who seek to walk in wisdom not
to live in fear of the ruin that will come upon the wicked (cf. 1:26–27)
but to trust that the Lord will keep them safe through the just and
equitable lifestyle he requires of the righteous.
