有一个年青人参加一个星期三晚上的圣经研读班。牧师分享着有关倾听上帝并顺服
主的声音的讯息，年青人心里不禁怀疑着：“上帝现在还对人们说话吗？”
课程结束后，他到外面与几个朋友喝咖啡、吃派。他们讨论这篇讯息，其他几个人
谈到上帝如何在不同的生活带领他们。年青人开车回家时大约晚上１０点。坐在车内，
他开始祷告：“上帝，如果你还继续对人说话，请跟我说话，我会听，我会尽一切所能
地服从你。”
在回到他住的小镇的途中，他有一个停下车“买一加仑牛奶”的奇怪念头。他摇摇
头并大声的说：“上帝那是你吗？”他没有得到回答，他继续开车回家。但再一次，“
买一加仑牛奶”的想法又出来了。这个年青人想起撒母耳没有认出上帝声音而跑去找以
利的圣经故事(撒上3:1-21)。“好吧！上帝，假如那是你，我会去买牛奶。”买牛奶并
不是一件很难顺服的挑战，而且他自己也常喝牛奶，随时用得到。他停下车，买了一加
仑的牛奶，继续开车回家。
当他经过第七街，他再一次有一个冲动的想法：“转到第七街去。”他想：“这真

Although I attended every lecture and made sure to keep good notes he found
it necessary to call me a "loser" and "disrespectful to him and my father"

我作实验，说是帮，其实他什么也不会。是我手把手教他每个试验，后来他就在我们组

美国有些工作过再来读书的人真是惹不起。
我以前带一个从公司里来实习的，一直觉得他很不错，唯一奇怪的是差不多一两个星期
此人就要跟我打小报告，说他的另一个管他们的人人品差，特别坏。我一般安慰他几句
，让他别放心上。后来此人来了我们实验室phD，还是跟俺干。这家话经常跟俺老板打
小报告，说俺人品差，不干活。。。可笑俺都在实验室待了5，6年了。俺也没放心上，
俺是啥人，老板知道。
直到最近，俺刚独立，把手头一个project交给他。他们有deadline,这家伙告诉我我老
板说俺做的都不对，让俺不用做了。俺就没做。直到deadline前两天，老板很着急给俺
发email,问俺怎么还没做出来。。。害得俺通宵俩晚上赶出来几个图。。。。有些人就
是两头骗啊。
不过据俺多年的经验，这种人都发展不好的。相反，俺的几位师兄和同学，都是极其厚
道的，长远一点儿也不吃亏。

有人总结，四种PI不能碰，AP(assistant professor),F(female),C/T(Chinese/
Taiwanese), Unmarried.
当然这些都是一家之言，个人对这些说法持保留态度，细节需要继续探究。有一个标准
可以用于大家加入某lab之前的预先判断，就是PI的变态程度和lab里中国大陆人加上印
度人占总人数的比例成正比，因为大陆人和印度人都是典型的吃苦耐劳又老实（聪明与
否另说），所以要不是对这方面有特殊需求的PI，是不会故意招很多中国人和印度人的
，具体来说，这个比例在三分之一以内的，正常；三分之一到三分之二的，仍属正常，

觉得教数学和教别的学科有些不同。课堂上学生augue很厉害。一个人问问题，别人会
的就觉得他/她太笨，好几个人同时开始给他/她解释。然后课堂就显得很乱。我写一个
题，想解释给全班，有几个就高高的举起手，非要说答案，浪费我的时间。课堂上
argue,再加上他们有时候小声说话，使我很烦躁。他们argue起来还不停下来，我不得
不yell,我知道yell不好，但是却没有办法。你是怎么处理这个问题的呢？
有一个班级大家都是什么都不会，也不在乎，我讲解他们也不听，还不停的说。我要是
给一个人detention,又似乎不公平，他们就说别人也在说。detention, call parents
他们都不在乎，感觉已经没有办法了。group work根本不行，会吵翻天，也不work.
劝一下相当老师还没有当的，三思而后行。我是天天在受着无尽的折磨。每天work
extra hours, weekends都要work. 10月份的lesson plan,25个（5 level), 上个周末
在不停的work.如果有个好的教学环境，还可以忍受。可是为什么这些学生这么crazy呢
。管不住啊。 |

我在Harvard Extension School的Institute for English Language Programs 上上课
。每周两次，周二和周四各一次。
此课程开始于上上周（9月13日），本周是第二周，我于昨天（周四）已经上了四次课
。每次课后，老师都叫三个同学留下，单独(一个学生和老师谈话，另外两个学生在教
室外面等着。）征询意见。昨天轮到我提意见。我真心诚意的准备了几个建议。

have priority.
No use to worry and just waite and yelling here.
Rather, do homework to try to find what's your strong points which can
attract PD/Chair, and make your PS or cover letter more impressive and find
any shared interests in your research with those programs, then.......
No any use to ask such thing here!

1 关于IL TX CA 的学时或者执照规定。你只要从中国大陆医学院毕业的，就能办成。
现在还是focus在能不能拿到面试。执照问题等你match 上了，再想吧。至于说什么精
神科，家庭医学学时，不用纠结。没人因为这个办不成的。
2 怎么找每个pg去年多少prematch 先去freida 看每个pg有多少位子。再去nrmp找去年
match的统计数据。一共三个文件 http://www.nrmp.org/data/index.html。认真学习一下。里面有去年每个pg参加match的数字
。减一下就是了。大部分prematch都是IMG。
3 关于形势的严峻性 还是要看nrmp的官方统计，你就知道多少人申请，多少人unmatch
4 关于哪个科难进 again 官方统计，哪科最后amg fill 的比例高。

everything, and they complain to DM. The pharmacists get yelled at by
patients, the DM will get yelled at both by the patients and his bosses.
I know at least last year, CVS changed the DM almost every month. Each time

知。但是接下来的这些表现就有些让人担忧了。他失业在家有一段时间了，老是说邻居
都是一帮闲人，整天盯着他背后说坏话。他的车有drive way不停，非要停到挺远的街
道上说是不想让街坊看见。今天又突然说yard太乱，草坪要整理了，原因是街对面的女
人yell at him 了。我问， 她都说什么了？回答说不知道，反正是yell了，而且他就
认定肯定是说他的院子太乱没整理。

you haven't heard the phone calls, when a pissed off investor is on the
other end.
Most managers had such exeriences...no matter how good he is, or once was.
AT buy-side, there is no much difference between trader and quant. The

在网上的评价让我好伤心。发现有些人很缺德，有些说我不好的根本就不是事实。有个
胖妞说她在我课堂上看Reference Book，我yelled at her,不用她看。天啊她老人家看
的是一本小说啊，考试考得一塌糊涂我当然不让她看了。但是只是口头警告一下她哪有

有的还书一下课就走走得比学生还快。我十分钟之后还有课，在另外一个Building。我

最气愤的居然有个人说他不能Respect我是因为我穿得像个Teenager一样。嘿，我看那
些理科的教授都是穿T Shirt和Jeans的。我也这样穿。我样子长得比较小，其实实际年
龄也27了，难道这也是我的错？我读PHD的时候就有人以为我还在读本科大一大二。我
总不能每天穿个套装去上课吧？我看学校里没有人这样的，又不是在公司。
