vs 15-yr 0.625%
vs 5/1 ARM (still 30-yr term) 1.375%
i did a calculation comparing 30-yr vs 5/1 ARM--savings on the first 5-yr
roughly offset "losses" on the second 5-yr assuming rates go up ~2%. if it'
s not for "peace of mind", 5/1 ARM is better than 30-yr fx. risk is if
rates sky rocketed... :p

把私人通信直接CC给雇主，想拿雇主来压人，有点火。加上收费比本地的高很多，于是
选了本地那个。本地律师是雇主的第一优先，想着本地的应该更容易沟通吧。签合同前
试了试水平，当时感觉不是太懂。由于是和同事一起办，也没有坚持换，觉得既然是律
师，再怎么也不会太离谱。10年12月初签了合同，然后忙着准备回国了一趟
11年1月回来，2月中旬还没动静。一问，律师居然不清楚我们是走EB2 PERM，不知道在

performance
bond fund I start in 2004
1 Yr +8.13% 3 Yr +9.36% 5 Yr +8.31% Life of Fund +6.48%
Bond fund II start in 1989
1 Yr +6.66% 3 Yr +6.70% 5 Yr +6.66% 10 Yr +5.62%
感觉他们performance都非常好。我自己选的其他mutual fund，看起来好像不错，但最
后回报率也不见得高。而且2008股市动荡的时候股票为主的mutual fund要腰斩，bond
fond 基本没什么变化。
请问这种fund的risk在哪里？ |

7年的时候肯定要换房子，因此prefer 7-yr arm。
我下了offer后，因为这个loan agent是一个口碑非常好的buyer agent推荐的，我当时
就很信任她，没有再找其它的agent去对比。但是万万没有想到，她把我的材料送给了
一个arm利率几乎和30-yr fixed的利率差不多的lender。结果在别家lender 7-yr arm
还是3%左右的
时候，我只能锁定一个4.125%的30-yr fixed （大概就是2周以前吧）。由于当时来不
及再换agent，我也就忍了。但是最近这两周，我仔细想了，我觉得我完全没有必要付4
.125%的利率，因为这个房子几乎是可以肯定5年后要换的，于是非常恼怒这个agent，
没有想到她还不以为然的告诉我，我以后会感谢她给我锁了个30年的。
我就觉得她要么是和这个lender有幕后交易，获利多，要么就是她做30年的fix得到的
利润比arm多，然后利用我对她的信任，反正知道我也不能反悔。我现在很想打电话过

total: 1.5+25*4=101.5M for 5 years
avg: 101.5/5=20.3M/yr
new money avg: 25m/yr
If total avg:
total: 25*5=125M for 5 years

new money avg: (125-1.5)/4=30.875M/yr
AR's NFL highest new money avg is 22M/yr. Either way, RW's asking price
beats AR, either by a yard or by a mile.

三天的时间里我有过一只猫。
因为YR家的猫太能生，她家就把公的那只波斯猫领去阉了，咔嚓一下。母猫是狸猫，
所以它们生下的最后一窝小猫颜色很随机。
我一直想要一只雪里拖枪，就是张爱玲书里写过的那种：通体白色，只有尾巴是黑的
。这样的猫我只见过两只。YR说，没有那样的。她说不过这一窝里有一只特别的，全身金
黄色，没有杂毛。我很高兴，说那好吧。
YR家很急着把猫送出去，但没人要，因为无论是谁的妈，都说了同样的一句话：养你
就够费劲了，还养猫！
我的猫原来叫金子，给我以后我就给它改名叫"特儿搂"了，这是吃面或吸鼻涕的象声
词。可是YR说，据她的经验，猫只能记信一个音节的名字，所以我决定简称它"特儿"。
我妈很早以前也对我说过：什么时候你搬出去，养什么都可以，现在没戏。就是说，
只要我不再和他们一起住，养女人养孤儿养难民我妈都不管，但在她眼皮底下我用自己的
血喂只蚊子都不成。
我跟YR说，麻烦你先给我养着吧，一毕业我就把它带走，天涯海角都行。YR有些为难
，说那得快点，要不然它一长大就该和它妈下小猫了，多恶心！

先买caravan开3~5年, 到时候$7k-$9k trade in换新车。5年以后，肯定有更先进，更时髦，更省油的车子出来。
ody $40k 10yr ->$4k/yr
caravan 3 yr trade in: $22k-$10k=$12 -> $4k/yr
caravan 5 yr trade in: $22k-$7k=$15 -> $3k/yr
你要非说8~9年旧ody开起来比3年新的caravan更舒适，更省维修费，更省心，我就没活说了。
而且，目前的caravan的动力，是所有minivan里面最强的。就算caravan质量差，
人家保5年100k miles. |

150400/yr (25 holiday+vacation+sick days)
total benefits that the employer would pay for a full-time position = $16,
000/yr:
1) Company 401k matching $6000/yr (assuming 5% of 120k annual salary)
2) Company expense for medical + dental = $10,000/yr
So $80/hr for contractor == $150,400 - $16,000/yr = $134,400 or less for a
