transition rule if there is a change of exam structure. For example CAS will
start a structure change next year. In some cases you do have to take
additional exams to get extra credits.
I am not sure whether the exam process would impact pregnancy because it
depends on your life priories, exam process and a lot of other
considerations.
How much time needs to be spent on preparing exams varies for different
people, depending on the candidates' academic background, exam skills and
the relative performance of other candidates. Roughly speaking, around 200
to 400 hours for each upper level CAS exams.
Again, how long it takes to complete all the exams varies by people. Some
people may finish sooner than others and some people may give up and never
reach the end. CAS publishes a travel time report every two years or so to
summarize the detailed statistics of the travel time, which is defined as
the length between the first P&C actuarial job and the obtaining of CAS

Here is one major conclusion from the report "we project median travel time
from date of first employment to Fellowship to be
between 8.0 and 8.5 years."

一次，而
同一个考试3次不过就从program开除。
听说有upper exam考10多次不过的，3次挂了后就开始投简历。

连续不过
就开除，如果过了一门之后就从头开始算

除非我放弃这个sitting？
是不是说，只要去我要求2,3个sitting，就必须考。但是我也可以不要求，也就不必须
考，可以混着？

楼上的说是从这个program出去。我知道考了几次没有过，
所以不再student program里面了，但是仍然继续在公司
工作的。
没看懂啥意思。

发帖数: 1582 | 11 我们公司来说放弃需要program director批准才行，否则一定要attempt every
sitting。
听说几年前这里精算部考试和不考试的人差不多一半一半，现在除了几个资格很老的人
人都在考。想混精算还是考试把，我几个中国同事有小孩还是照样拿了FSA。

众大侠都在NYC么？NYC机会是不是最多呢？ |

发帖数: 2810 | 13 各个公司要求不同吧~~我们公司的要求是每连续6个sitting里面通过率不小于50%。所以，假设你out of program了，即便你下一次通过了，也未必能回到program里面来。
你可以选择某个sitting不考，但是会算在你未通过里面。当然，如果你有非常strong的理由说因为工作太忙，或许可以给你waive掉。
我们这里有因为out of program被fire的，不过是pre-ASA。ASA的情况会好很多，一般不会有因为考试不过而引起的job security问题。 |
