should be the same.
In the acquisition program, you can set up what nuclear you want to look at.
after loading the program, you should hear a click at the probe head, this
switches the probe head from previous to P31. If the previous is also P21,
there is no click sound and if you want to futher check, you can, in Brukier
, type Wobb to confirm the frequence if it is of P31.

Usually, you can ask the NMR administrator for this.

confirmed that I have to tune the probe to the P31 frequency. But I cannot
do it automatically, I will have to tune it manually. There is no one else
in the company did that before, so I will have wait for Varian tech personel
to come. But it will take sveral month I guess. Thanks anyway.

And check you detecting nuclear, it should be 31P.
If all correct, then you should check tuning/matching.

labeled M, meaning Match. I am not familiar with Varian, but feel it should
be the same as Bruker. It also depends on what probe head you have and you
have to find the right rodes for P31, in my machine, it is written as X.
I am around NYC and if it is close to you, I can take a look at your NMR and
see if I can work out for you.
