土工程），在中国有过几年的本专业的工作经验，目前拿到美国的土木工程研究生学位
，但无美国工作经验。不知道这里申请PE是个什么样的过程，希望知道的大侠指点迷津。
1） 我看PE申请表格1中，包含有PART A（ Fundamentals of Engineering）和PART
B （Principles and Practice of Engineering）的考试，这里的PART A就是FE考试
吗？如果是一样的话，是不是意味着在美的工作经验没达到要求，就先直接申请考FE，
等以后再申请PE呢？
2） 还有申请考试的那些成绩单，毕业证书什么的，包括在国内的，都需要自己去
准备吗？那些成绩单需要什么样的要求，比如要中英文版，公证什么的，需要课程描述
什么的吗？
3） 听说FE有些是可以免考的，是这样的吗？
哪位知道的话，给我说说流程啊，万分感谢~~~ |

1.Part A就是FE。要考PE，FE通过和一定的工作年限（国内的也算）是两个必要条件。
2.美国成绩单要学校直接寄。中文成绩单要自己翻译成英文并且你学校盖章说翻译件与
原件相符。
3.是有这么个说法。好像PHD或多少多少年经验的可免FE。
其实最大的问题是你得找个公司，比如以前的ECEI，来evaluate你的本科课程。然后你
所在州的board再决定让不让你考试。不知这个规定有没有变。你考古，以前讨论过。

from a credited US university,you could take PE test after you passed your
FE test, without any experience requirement. The board of CA has similar
wavier for Ph.D. degree from a credited US university, too.

I never hear such thing in CA in recent 3-5 years.

ENGINEERING CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Q5. What type of activity constitutes qualifying experience for a
professional engineer license and how many years of credit may be obtained
for each type?
(2) Post-Graduate Education
The Board may give a maximum of one year credit as qualifying experience for
satisfactorily completed graduate work in an ABET-approved engineering
curriculum. No credit will be given for foreign graduate work or graduate
work done in any non-ABET approved curriculum. Completed post-graduate work
is work for which a degree has been received.
Effective January 1, 2007, applicants who possess a board-approved
postgraduate degree in engineering will receive 5 years of experience credit
toward the 6-year experience requirement regardless of the undergraduate
degree. A board-approved postgraduate degree is one where either the
undergraduate or postgraduate engineering curriculum is accredited by ABET.

With respect to applicants for licensure as professional engineers, the

(a) Shall give credit as qualifying experience of four years, for graduation
with an engineering degree from a college or university the curriculum of
which has been approved by the board.
(b) May at its discretion give credit as qualifying experience up to a
maximum of two years, for graduation with an engineering degree from a
nonapproved engineering curriculum or graduation with an engineering
technology degree in an approved engineering technology curriculum.
(c) May at its discretion give credit as qualifying experience of up to one-
half year, for each year of successfully completed postsecondary study in an
engineering curriculum up to a maximum of four years credit. A year of
study shall be at least 32 semester units or 48 quarter units.
(d) May at its discretion give credit as qualifying experience not in excess
of five years, for a postgraduate degree in a school of engineering with a
board-approved undergraduate or postgraduate curriculum.
(e) May at its discretion give credit as qualifying experience for
engineering teaching, not in excess of one year, if of a character
satisfactory to the board.
The sum of qualifying experience credit for subdivision (a) to (e),
inclusive, shall not exceed five years.

It doesn't say anything related to waiver of FE with a Ph.D. Degree or
taking PE test with Ph.D. without any experience.
The articles you cited mean that any Master/Ph.D. from ABET University with
another 1-year experience can meet the experience requirement. But it doesn'
t mean anything regarding the waiver of FE.
The second paragraph should apply to those APs in Universities.

1）FE考了后会有时间限制吗？就是说，考了后必须多少年内拿到PE，不然到时还得重
考什么的。
2）如果准备FE的话，下午选择考什么类型的适合交通专业的呢（就是什么好考点，嘿
嘿），需要学习哪些材料？
