From the dictionary, "perplexed" seems more often used in the situation of a
dilemma; while "puzzled" is frequently used in a puzzle :P
then what part of "confused" differs from "puzzled"??

puzzle perplex confuse bewilder
都含"使困惑不解"的意思。
puzzle 指"情况错宗复杂， 因而使人感到困惑不解"， 如：

fix, correct, ... the problem or issue. "Puzzled" only means that
something isn't clear, without implying anything about the resolution or
course of action.
I would be perplexed about about mind-boggling puzzle that I can't solve.
(This is weird, isn't it? Shouldn't I be puzzled about a puzzle?)
